I haven't been slacking - honest! I usually run 5k daily Mon-Fri and on Saturday do try and push it further. I have got up to 13k but wasn't particularly out of breath so have sped up again. Will do another 5k tomorrow!
Even did 5k Christmas morning :o :rotfl:

Well, after a couple of weeks of agonizing knees, I feel more positive about getting back on the treadmill.

Have only been twice this week and only walking - going to re-start Week 1 from tomorrow and will definitely be doing each week twice or start doing shorter runs instead.

Glad I still feel motivated to do this - just need to make sure I don't injure myself!

I've been slacking massively! I hate not having routine in my life. Got a run planned for the 2nd, I've not run in so long that I think I'll give Week 3 Run 3 a go, see how I feel and move on from there.

Got lots of nice running gear for Christmas though!
  • Can I join you lovely people?
Am on Week 5 Day 3, was doing ok until Week 5 Day 2, when it suddenly got a lot harder!

Was reasonably fit to start with as I've been doing Body Combat twice a week, Abs, Body balance and gym for a year now and am much stronger and fitter than this time last year. But I've never been keen on running so have decided to have a go and see how it went. I can't say I like it, but that just makes me more determined to do it. I had lots of lovely running clothes for Xmas so at least i look the part even if I don't feel it! I'm doing the Mad March Hare Run on 23rd March so plenty of time but it's tough going at the moment.
  • Good Morning, Happy 2014.
Can I join please. I have done c25k in the past, My running has trailed off. I going to take a step back, to week 4/5 and push onwards and upwards.

    Happy New Year!

Did W1R2 today - didn't really feel in the mood for it to begin with but got through. I kinda feel my energy increases near the end and the last minute's run I properly ran instead of jogged.

Feel like I'm getting fitter already due to the last few week's exercise and think I could've probably done Week 2's runs but not a chance in hell I'm skipping any days.

Will do the bike tomorrow before doing W1R3 on Friday :-)

Setting myself a goal of being able to run for 30 mins by April and maybe run 5km in 30 minutes by Summer.

Er, about the slacking off... So I took my trainers and running clothes with me when I went to stay with family for Christmas, I'd checked a route on MapMyRun to make sure it'd fit the time and distance...

Those trainers never even came out of their bag :o. Between being busy with other things like visiting family, and weather, I haven't been out once since about the 18th. Shocking. I am officially a Christmas Pudding.

Must get back to it tomorrow! You're all in charge of not letting me skive off!

W3r3 done today! Considering the amount of slacking I have done I could probably have got straight back to w4r3, but that's scheduled for Sunday. Feels good to be running again!

I've ventured outside now (brave or what :p ) have done 5k a couple of times but it is much tougher outside! I live at the top of a hill which is fine so start with but much harder getting home again

I'm surprised at how much I like it even if it is much tougher than the treadmill!

Chickvic - I think the fresh air is nice when you run outside, blows the cobwebs away :)

Went out tonight and had a really good run, I felt like I was able to go faster than I've managed before and it was like I'd progressed. Maybe that time off helped!
