Just wondered if there was anyone else just starting off or are you all seasoned runners?

Well, that's W2R1 done...and I'm sooo surprised I actually managed it. The last 2 (or 3!) 1.5 min runs were kinda hellish but I'm thinking that's probably how I felt last week.
I'm thinking as I'm so unbelievably unfit it might be a good idea to do 2 weeks of each week's runs - might see how I feel during the first week 3 run and decide then.
My knees are totally knackered though and I'm just hoping they don't stop m finishing this. I've got knee supports on both knees now but the one knee which had the cheap support thing feels awful.
Think I'll have a go at the cross trainer or something tomorrow and hopefully my legs will feel better for Sunday.
Hope everyone else is doing well!0 -
Well I did my first park run this morning and it was brilliant!!
I was buzzing when I got home, I still listened to my pod cast and managed to do it in 35min45sec!! I will keep going and look to maybe increase the speed over the coming weeks.
My legs felt like jelly too and that's week 9!0 -
Just back in from W1R2 almost never went out. As I like to go out in the dark so no one can see me LOL!!! And it was dark and raining a fine mist.
I am boiling but shattered but high!!!!!
I really hate exercise. I like stuff with a means to an end if that makes sense like riding in to town.
These pod casts are fab and I love the music. I am looking at this as getting fit and not losing weight. If that happens it does.
My first run on thursday was spur of a moment thing. I just did it. If I had thought about it I would not have.
I don't even want to think what I look like as I bob along LOL!!!
Ivm, I might do the same as you two weeks for each run. Wednesday will be the telling point as I start week 2. If I can't cope I have not failed just need some more practice :rotfl:and go back to week one.
On ward and up wards. And thanks to everyone to making me feel so welcome as I know I posted on this thread about a million years ago and did nothing about it
Yours

Week 3 run 1 is done! If you'd told me 3 weeks ago I'd be up at 6am on my birthday running I'd have thought you were crazy!
It went really well. Felt really short, but I have done it one so no excuses for Tuesday and Thursday.0 -
