We can HBS. I keep having to remind myself that I did it once before, so surely must be able to do it again. ;)

    I did it :j:j:j:j

Postponed yesterday but I went to the gym after work today. Not as hard as I thought but I was going quite slowly.

I can't believe I'm capable of running for 20 minutes!!
  • Me too :D It was slow and steady but I got there, couldn't believe it when I finished!!

Well done HBS. I feel really proud of myself. And week 6 doesn't look so scary now.

Well done both of you - it is such a fantastic achievement when you look at where you started from. :j

I woke up freaking out a bit this morning, thinking about the location of my run and visualising the distance I will have to cover in 20 minutes - oh my! I'll report back later.

I would be lying if I said it were easy but somehow I made it and most pleased because I really didn't want to be the one to let 'Team MSE' down. :T

 Congratulations. It is very motivational posting here with progress updates. Have to finish the nine weeks now. I think it's taken me about 9 weeks to get this far but I do want to be able to do 5K by xmas. The marathon can wait till next year :o.

Keep up the good work everyone. :T

Quick update, doing my 5k 3 times a week and working on speeding it up till I can do it in 30mins. Then I'll start to stretch the distance out.

Can't believe I can post that considering I struggled to jog 1min at 6kph

PS had my cholesterol checked and it is down from 6.9 to 5.9, resting heart rate significantly lower, blood pressure down :j (still considered obese though) a combination of this and the 5:2 perhaps?

hoping with a treadmill at home i can find no more excuses. raining/cold need the loo etc etc...

will post on here to give me incentive if that is ok. i am about 2 stone overweight so hoping if i do this at home while dinner is cooking i will soon see a difference
