Well wk4 run 1 completed last night and my legs are still aching! Not looking forward to runs 2 and 3! Am hoping it gets a little easier.

I too feel like I run at quite a slow pace but Laura does say not to overdo it so I say I am following orders!!:rotfl:

Week 6 run 2 done. I'm pretty nervous about run 3 (25 minutes straight? What? How?), but I managed this when it happened on week 5 so I'm going to have a good go at it.

I have started having dreams about running

The runs are always easy and I run for ages and ages

    Not like real life

    Am I normal?

I can't even run in my dreams, so you're doing well. :D

Best of luck with that. It's a very scary thought for me too, having just done Week 4 Run 2 I honestly can't actually see how I will manage that 20 minute run by the end of next week

I felt like that then too Kiwisaver, I found week 4 really difficult and never would have thought I'd be able to do the 20 minutes at the end of week 5. Just take it at a steady pace and try to have faith that you can and will do it.

:rotfl: I thought I was the only one!

Well I used to have them anyway. When I could barely run for a minute I would dream that I could just run and run and run and never get tired or out of breath.

Now I can run far I don't have them :o

Hopefully they are a good sign and I will also be able to run far.

Just need to sort out my weak point, which is my head telling me I can't run for long, which then makes my legs feel weak.

Yep that's the biggest hurdle to get over. If I'm honest I get it everytime I run and I saw something on pinterest which said the same:
Running is nothing more than a series of arguments between the part of your brain that wants to stop and the part that wants to keep going.

I have days where I let that part of my brain win and I stop even though 5 minutes later I think I could have gone on. Definitely all about being in the right frame of mind, though I'm sure I don't need to tell anyone here that.

Well from having been quite determined over the last couple of weeks I have now got a stress fracture in my left foot! I think it is the shock for my poor unfit body!

So I have to dip out for a couple of weeks so just wanted to wish everyone all the best, keep up the good work!

I seem to have abandoned the NHS plan now I have got up to 20mins. I didn't fancy making the jump to 25 so today did 23mins (that was enough!) will do that 3 times then 26/27 before I go up to 30mins. It will add in an extra week but I would prefer that. The last three minutes were tough.

Sorry to hear that but make sure you are fully recovered before you start again. Sending you best wishes for a speedy recovery.
