    Well done Richard!

Wk 3 run 3 completed today, bit nervous about wk 4!

I'm sure you will be fine. I felt the same at the start of every week and managed to get through the whole thing and I'm still classed as obese!

I did my first 5k race today, my time was 31.26 - not a personal best but there was a lot of congestion at the start of the race so I just couldn't get started but never mind. It was great fun and I loved every second, will definitely be doing more now that I have the running bug!

Was that at one of the park runs? We are looking at some local to us when we have more confidence to jog outside where people can see us ;)

    C25K Completed :j:j

Jogging for 4.5k so now going to reach the 5k at the same speed, then slowly increase speed to reach 5k in 30mins.

Then see where I go from there. :D

    Well done Richard! :T

As for running one of those park run things, I was looking at one local to me but tbh I think I'll always prefer to go solo. I love just being out there on my own, usually just the local wildlife for company. :)

Well done. It's always encouraging to hear the success stories. I've just finished week 4 run 3 and looking ahead nervously at week 5. It looks like a very big jump!

I've decided to continue running in the gym after work for runs 1 and 2 and then venture outside at the weekend for run 3.

Went out again today and did 20mins it definitely felt a bit easier than the first time. Need to pick up listening to the podcasts again but I have enjoyed the peace and quiet of my last two runs. Does every one else prefer running to music or without?

I prefer to listen to my own music than the NHS one. I find it much more motivating, in fact my MP3 player died on Saturday and I had to jog for at least 10 mins with no music - I didn't like it much at all!

Well done on the 20 min run :)

I'm still alive and just about managed to complete Week 4 Run 1. :j

I could tell at the outset that it was going to be tough as I wasn't on top form and again thought I would just try my bestest.

Fortunately when I get to the final really struggly bit I met a guy jogging towards me on the path, so I willed myself to keep going until I was a respectable few paces past him and then Laura said it was all done. Phew, thanks to that fella or I am sure I would have stopped before the end !!

  • Finding week 4...odd. :( My breathing is OK and I'm sweating but not tired...but my leg muscles HURT after the second 3 min run.

Sooo I think as a twisted ankle threw my schedule out of whack, I'm going to do another 2 week 4 runs, that will put me back at the beginning of the week for week 5, if that makes sense. Build a little more stamina so I know I can definitely make the step up :)

Well done to those who have done full 5k runs - good work!
