I did it! :j :T :j :T :j :T I jogged for 30 mins! Only ran about 3.4 k but will worry about the speed later! Wow - I'd never have done this 8 weeks ago :o I'd have struggled to walk for 30 mins!

    Good luck everyone :)

Well done . What a fantastic achievement. I've recently started doing this, mostly on a treadmill but last Sunday I bravely ventured outside and did Week 3. I don't know why I felt so nervous about running outside but it went well and I plan to do week 4 on Saturday or Sunday morning.

If I can do it at the age of 50 after years of slobbing around, there's hope for everybody.

That's fantastic Chickvic, well done! :T

I did Week 3 Run 1 tonight. I liked the format of week 3 the first time around and did it today without too much of a struggle, so I'll just do it once more on Saturday and then move on to week 4.

I feel like I am back in the groove again and had hardly any itches today.

Well Done Chickvic! :T Great stuff :)

I went for a run yesterday and it felt loads better than the previous few because I slowed it right back down again. I did 2 miles and was just about done in after that. I'll go for more tomorrow. I've decided to add 1/2 mile on to each run. And from now on every Saturday morning will be for speed work so hopefully the speed side of things will improve before too long.

I've got a new favourite place to run too which helps loads. A local forest which is a couple minutes drive away. Why I've never explored it fully before now is beyond me but that's where I'll be going from now on. It's amazing really how much your scenery helps when running.

    Hello All

Drop out :( returning here :).

I reconise some of the names, well done to those for keeping it going and hello to all the new people on here, hope its going well for you.

I got up to week 4 but not sure where to start again. I don't really want to go back to wk 1 so think I will attempt to start where I left off and see how it goes I can always drop back a week or two if its too hard. Looking forward to it but must be more determined to stick to it this time.
  • How long have you left it for?

I wouldn't go straight back in there, maybe drop back to week 3 and see how you go.

its been about 2 months since I stopped running. I have learnt today that I am either very determined or pig headed! not sure which but I was annoyed at myself for giving up as I would have had completed the plan by now if I had carried on. Therefore I decided I would run for 20 minutes and i did :) Super pleased with myself not sure on distance as GPS failed. I will now look through the plan and pick up at the 20 min mark or just increase my time by a few minutes each week.
