Good luck ttc39, stick at it!
Embarking on week 8 tonight. My last run of week 7 went really well, I felt fine by the end and sped up loads for the last bit when she encourages you to try to. Hopefully this continues!0 -
Week 6 Run 1 done
I'm away LARPing this weekend so I hope I can actually get a run in, if not I'll have to work around it

Me too.
After thinking it would be easier today I was surprised to find it was at least equally difficult to the 20 minute run on Saturday. I realised though that I must have been running considerably faster, as I covered a lot more distance than ever before. I guess that's probably why the intervals are mixed in this way, to help us build endurance and stamina.Mortgage

Kiwisaver - Me too! I thought I'd fly it after the last one, but no. Booo haha! Well done though
ttc39 - You will probably find that you will slow your running down as the running periods get longer. Don't go too fast and demotivate yourself! Also, do another run tomorrow, not tonight - there should be a "rest day" between each session.
I've found that I can keep 6.2km/h up for 8mins, that dropped to 6 for the 20min run (and 5.8 for the last few mins!!) but I actually recovery-walk faster nowonce I get to the half-hour I will be speeding it up.

I don't know about you but my legs are particularly achey today. I was trying to avoid looking to see what the rest of the week had in store for us. However, curiosity just got the better of me :eek:Mortgage

It'll be fiiiiine
I'm a bit sore today, but that's mainly because my gym has bot-all stretching area and a very hard floor in the changing room, so by the time I was home I'd cooled down too much to stretch effectively. Grr. In a gym that can hold about 50 people, they have 2 mats

Just been outside for week 6 run 3. I think I prefer running outside. The time seems to pass much quicker. Definitely harder running into the wind though!
I'm beginning to feel like a proper runner now :j.0
