Chickvic - that's amazing, well done!

I've got week 4 next week. I listened to the start of the podcast at the end of my last week 3 run to see what was in store, and now I'm scared...

Ha ha, it's not a medical term although I am sure there must be one for it as it is quite a common problem but I got this crazy itching all down my backside and thighs that drove me insane as soon as I started my first attempt at week one.

I read up on it and its something to do with inactivity and poor circulation, due to the increased demand for blood from your capillaries when you exercise. It is supposed to ease once you increase fitness. It had all but gone away for me but now back with a vengeance after having had a couple of weeks break.

  • Monday's jogging is always a killer :wall: feeling a bit bloated and sluggish which doesn't help! But week 7 run 2 (25 mins again) done! :D
  • You put me to shame Chickvic, torrential rain has stopped play here again today.

  • Well I'm in the gym later for week 3 run 1...I think it would be week 3 swim 1 if I went outside!

Since there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothes, perhaps we ought to kit ourselves up to start the C2Wading5K Program. :D

I try to think that I'm going to have a shower after I've exercised and get wet anyway, so a bit of rain won't make any difference.

She says. I still never want to go out in the rain!

Managed week 4 run 1 after all. I don't think I'm jogging very fast at all though, keep thinking that even though the podcast says not to go too fast that I'm maybe not going fast enough. How fast is/was everyone else? I'm sure I might as well be walking...

I'm also finding this week that it isn't so much a problem of being breathless like I was to begin with (although I do get pretty out of breath), it's that my lower legs are killing me! Did anyone else find this sort of thing?
  • I think the idea is to be able to run for half an hour, and gradually build up speed once you can do it :)

  • Well done HBS!

I'm absolutely done in! Last 25 min run was awful, need to get sorted for Friday as it's 28 mins! Really struggled today but did it luckily had a cheerleader (husband ;) ) so scraped through!
