I don't know about anyone else but I'll be quite happy when I finally do reach 5K. Right now I have no inclination whatsoever to attempt 10K
Though ask me again when I've done 5K and I'll probably be crazy enough to change my mind! :rotfl:0 -

Is it easier on a treadmill as you are unable to slow pace down as you have to keep going at what the machine sets? Or does it not really make much difference?
I liked going on the treadmill but it got boring after a couple of times, staring at the same patch of building over the roadI didn't manage as far when I went back outside but I definitely think it still helped, and it was only the second run back outdoors when I did manage to make the full 20 minutes.

The thing with me is once I have completed the C25K I am not very good at being self motivated I need a plan and a goal to keep going (and the help of a thread like this for motivation- thanks all). Therefore once I can run 5K I will need a new goal otherwise I will find it too easy to give up.

Hmm I'm the same to be honest. I think once I reach 5K I'll shift to working on my speed more. I've set myself a time that I want to do the 1.5mile in and I'll just work toward that. I think overall though distance isn't something I'm really bothered about. Now, anyway. Like I said, we'll see when I reach 5K how I feel0 -

I couldn't imagine past my next ru
I still struggle to get out the door Sometimes, like yesterday it was lashing down, dark and I was running with dd, yet I ended up doing a much better run.
Just tackle each run as it comes, you can do it x :ALife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Pink princess how old is your dd? I would love to do some exercise with my ds but he is only 6 and I can't think of anything suitable. We did go to a tae kwon do taster session we could do together but at £7 per week I can't afford it (thats why I run its free

It is my youngest daughter, she is 16. We started this programme for her as she left school and had no pe anymore. Needed a way to keep her fit beyond our one off bike rides and our walks.
Thing is I'm getting hooked
Can your ds not scooter or bike ride beside you as you run? It would be a great thing to do together :TLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -

I think its a lovely way for you and your daughter to spend some time together.
I did try going out whilst he was on his bike but it didn't work, he can ride but is not good enough yet to keep going for 30 mins and I had to keep stopping to pick up the bike etc. I think when he gets back to school and I have time to do my three 'official' runs in the week then I can go out with him at the weekend not to follow a podcast but just to get some general exercise and running in when it wont matter how many times I have to stop.0 -
I finally did it! 2.25miles
On to week 7 now at last!
:D
