Changed my mind and went for week 3 run 1! Glad I did, managed it but the last minute of jogging was a killer - will be doing week 3 for the foreseeable future0

Hey all, keep up the good work.
When I started I could just about haul myself the 3miles in 28mins. A few months later we've pushed it down to just over 21mins and im now looking to get it under 20mins.
Have you ever thought about throwing in a local ParkRun? They are free....
Once you've reached the 5k mark, and you can run the ParkRun with ease, I have no doubt that the 10k will come, then something like the Great North Run...0 -
ParkRun...and its Free...and its 5kms (3.2miles)

My dad is taking ds out for a couple of hours tomorrow so I am going to use the time to go for a run, really I should be catching up on housework but compared to that a run is a much more exciting prospect0 -
That's a no brainer, run every time :rotfl:
Enjoy your run and a few hours peace xLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -

Did my run this am, definitely felt a bit easier this time.
Sadly I didn't find any strangers willing to let me stoke their snake today
When ds is back at school I am thinking of trying a run on the treadmill in the gym. I really think I walk too slow (the running intervals i'm ok with but if I don't start walking at faster speed I will never be able to make the continuous runs) so I am hoping that a turn on the treadmill at a set rate will give me some idea of how quick I need to walk.
Is it easier on a treadmill as you are unable to slow pace down as you have to keep going at what the machine sets? Or does it not really make much difference?0
