Well done. It must be an amazing feeling.
Thankyou, it was :j
The second 30 minute run tonight wasn't as easy :cool. Still feels good afterwards, I just can't walk now though
Glad your ankle is better 1940s gal :jLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -

Thanks Pink Princess! I am normally a very determined girly but when it comes to running... I'm pretty rubbish!
My (fairly recently acquired) bf is a keen runner, doing 10k at a time, a few times a week . So he is a good motivator for me but it is nice to see that others are doing the same challenge.. :T0 -
So where do I collect my medal?
I am amazed, I actualy did it and ran for 20 minutes non-stop.
Pure determination I think and andrenaline that keeps you going,
I was thinking I might stop at ten minutes and then maybe 15 and then okay I might manage one more minute .... if I can make it to the end of this bit of road.... come on Laura talk to me ...... how much longer ? .... breathe woman, breath .... then to the point where I can't stop now there's 'only' two minutes to go and if I can just make it to that tree I'll be done. :T
Good Luck Kabazzzz with starting out, once you get up and running it does all start to come together and you get more determined to improve with each time you go out.
Well done Chickvic moving up a level and Pink well done you're our frontrunner and always manage to make the next level all seem very possible for me too!Mortgage

Hello everyone
Just reporting in to tell you of two achievements.
Animal lovers look away now .... I killed a wasp that was flying around my kitchen. It took me about 6 attempts to swot it with a tea towel but I missed every time, luckily I caught it with a glass in the end but when I put the piece of paper behind to catch it in the glass, the crafty wasp tried getting out the side and got squashed in the process. It wasn't murder, honest Guv, I was going to let it outside.
The wasp incident happened on my way to the garage to go on the treadmill and it nearly put me off (the wasp that is). The adrenaline must have helped somewhat tho because I ran 30 minutes non stop. I usually run outside and my OH drops me off a couple of miles from home and I run back, unfortunately he's at work today so I thought I'd go on the treadmill.
The problem with the treadmill tho is that you see the time constantly as it is there in big red numbers in front of you which puts you off slightly, at least outside, although I have a stopwatch, I'm not looking at it constantly.
Anyway got to 12 minutes and thought I might make it to 20, got to 20 and then thought, go for it. get to 25. Got to 25 and thought I'll make 28 I'm sure, got to 28 and thought 2 mins to go and I'm at the big THREE O.
Yayyyyyyyyyyyy, i'm so chuffed. This is me who couldn't run for 30 seconds at the start. Mind you the last 30 seconds of the 30 minutes was exactly like the 30 seconds I used to run.
Where do I go from here now?Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -
