Yayyyyyyyyyyyy, i'm so chuffed. This is me who couldn't run for 30 seconds at the start. Mind you the last 30 seconds of the 30 minutes was exactly like the 30 seconds I used to run.
Where do I go from here now?

Yay well done.
I suggest you keep doing 30 mins for a couple of weeks or so until it feels easier and then go onto the graduate ones as lilian posted.
After that I don't know, maybe you could start a 5K to 10K thread
We can all join you there when we finish our course0 -
Today I felt guilty as I was conscious I have lost a whole week of time and I wanted to finish the course in 9 weeks so I didn't do the last run of wk 2 and went straight onto wk 3. I am sure at the end of it I was going so slow I almost went backwards!
Couldn't believe what I saw once I had finished the run some bloke was taking his snake out for some fresh air and sunshine  It was quite big but cute I chatted to him and stroked it  But I bet thats not something you see very often!
I worked out to do 5K in 30mins you need to run at 6.2 miles a hour
To those who are running 20mins+ do you measure what distance you have covered?
Next time I am going to take my phone with me so I can set it on one of the running intervals to monitor what my speed is.0 -

although I ran for 30 minutes today, there's no way it was 5k but I'm working on increasing the time initially before I increase the speed. I'm sure the speed will come with practice.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Well done ms chocohlic :j:beer: do you feel alright?
Kiwi the pain is awful Sometimes but that is muscle forming which will help you through the next run:)
Finished the couch to 5k tonight :j feels so good. I'm going to continue with 30 minute runs for a few weeks but work on my speed so that I cover more ground. So I'll be sticking around if you don't mindLife is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -

Yes not too bad, thank you. I think I've got a bit of plantar fascitis tho so I'm going to buy some insoles for my shoes before my next run.
How far do you run in 30 mins pink. I don't cover much ground but hope to improve on that in the coming weeks.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End

Sports direct have the insoles for 5.99,.
I'm running 2.7 miles as of today in 30 minutes, I want to build this to around 3.3_4 before I move on to the next programme.
Today I was 12.2 seconds ahead at the end of my route and had to keep going until the 30 mins were up.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0
