    I did it :j:beer::j
I can't believe it, I struggled to run 5 minutes at the end of last week. DD re-ran the two eight minute runs to build her stamina more before she attempts it, I think she is going to do the eight minute one again on Friday night before trying the twenty on Sunday. I'm very proud of her, she struggles with her head yet just keeps pushing :A

Anyone thinking of trying this but don't think you will manage, you will. It really does work and you can stay on runs if you need to :)

IAMASA, I had to lol at that :rotfl:

Kiwi, add salt to your bath after running or a magnesium bath soak would be even better to stop cramps. I drink magnesium daily so I don't suffer them.
We just walk for an extra 5 minutes after the run rather than stretch. Maybe we should stretch especially now we are running (read slow jog) further.

Just done Run 2 of Week 5.

I'm not going to lie, by the end I could feel my legs going and tbh the thought of jumping from 8 to 20 full minutes all in one go terrifies me. I don't care what I said the other day, if I can do it I'll be amazed.

Congratulations Pink and everyone else who's getting those big runs under their belt.

Just back from my Week 2 Run 1 - my legs definitely had the shakes at the second to last run and turned completely to jelly as I had to stop and cross the road. I didn't think I would be able to get them going again but somehow I got there. :T

It always astounds me how much ground you cover in 25 mins and I need to figure out some better routes. i.e ones without so many blooming hilly bits. I ended up running around in circles tonight trying to avoid going down hills, that I would have needed to run back up at some point.

That's what we had to do kiwi, it has been easier since we found flat ground.

I actually found week two the hardest so far.

Well done on getting going again x

We should be running today but I have come down with a rotten head cold, vit c, garlic and a hot toddy needed to try to run tomorrow.

I did week 4 run 1 yesterday, I had to cut it short due to an asthma attack (yes I know I should take my inhaler with me)
When I got home, I was quite pleased I'd only cut the whole run by 3 minutes, I hadn't realised I was on my last run.
I also did 6 miles on my bike today.
    Keep it up!

Hope you feel better soon Pink!

I did my 20 minutes today of week4/run 3. Was dreading it tbh but I didn't feel as bad as I thought so I'm a very happy bunny :D Just want to work on getting my speed up now.

  • Did the wk4 run 3 again Friday. Was bloody hard work.

Might try that again next week.
  • So I did wk4 run 3 again today and was still difficult. That 6 min run in the middle is killing me. May keep to the same this week and start week 5 next week.
