I've just done the third in the series of Begintervals with a big uphill section at the start and I also added a couple of extra runs of my own when I was meant to be walking.

Not sure now whether to repeat this on Thursday or just get on with it and have a crack at Week 1 C25K proper.

A few have mentioned the begintervals, what are they?

They're an introductory program of three x 25 mins walking / running podcasts from the DJBeatsmith Podrunner series. The walks are at various speed but basically it's:

    5 min warm up walk
    1 min run
    4 mins walk
    1 min run
    4 min walk
    1 min run
    4 min walk
    4 min cool down walk

I have found the begintervals but I cannot download them on my iPad or iPod :(. Am I going to have to download them onto my desktop first?

Evening all, well done on progress so far!

I have been to a personal trainer tonight to see why I am struggling with the running when I am ok cycling and walking. It seems I just need to build up my knee muscles and lung capacity! So am on hols next week but have some exercises to do and will then start c2k again on my return! Hurrah!

Hopefully I will catch you all up soon :)

Care to share any tips about increasing lung capacity Eyeore; I do get out of breath when running, maybe this is something I need.

Hi Ms Choc, well I have been advised to carry on with using the treadmill building up the speed and cycling is good apparently so shall carry on doing that. Basically was told just to try and build up slowly and not to go too mad. Was told that if i need to do week 1 runs for a couple of weeks this is ok as it will build up capacity so it isn't rocket science, just think I was getting frustrated with the knee pain!
