  • Week 4 run 1 done. Why do they always put the longest run last!! That 5 min run was hard work, but I managed it. Sweat pouring off me though!!

    Phew. Run 2 Wednesday!

Well done Pink Princess, good luck with your big run on Wednesday. I find it quite impossible to imagine myself being anywhere near there in four weeks from now.

That is what we thought but it is happening :j you will get stronger with every runx

1940s gal, you are doing really well. It doesn't seem to be phasing you :T

Well done i'm a shopping addict. Good luck for Wednesday :)

I actually feel like I could run again today, we recover so much quicker now.

I've just done my run three of week one; it is funny I wasn't feeling like I had made vast progress since run one however I did find the first couple of runs fairly easy tonight.

I am going to try and keep with running every other day, so aiming to start week two on Thursday. I can't remember what the schedule is for week two and not sure whether to take a sneaky peek so I know what to expect before I set out, or just take it as it comes. :rotfl:

I did this for a while last year, and it worked at first. But i've missed too many gym sessions. Well done everyone who's still going! I'm hoping to try again in september.

    I've just completed week 3,
my second run this week, on my 2nd 90 second run, I had to cut short, but managed the other 90 second runs and the 3 minute run, I don't know whether it was the heat that day or not, but managed the other 2 runs.
Absolutely dreading week 4 run 1, which I'll hopefully do Wednesday evening.

I need to get back into doing my wii fit more inbetween too and more bike rides, It just seems to have been a bit of a manic 2 weeks at the moment, but I mustn't stop the running, I usually give up on things too easily like this.
Well done to everyone so far xxx

haha it doesn't phase me until I go out/get on the treadmill and I'm half way through thinking 'isn't it time to walk again yet?!' Then I'm fine again when I'm done :o

The worse thing about doing it on the treadmill is I'm constantly clock watching. I actually took my specs off yesterday to distract myself.

Don't look ahead kiwi  well done on finishing week 1 :j

Wbqms, is it your IT band or the knee it's self?

Well done bunny, you can handle week 4 :) the first one might be testing but your stamina will build.

1940s gal, I'm lucky that I get my OH to time it and I run until I'm told to stop. He wishes that I would do as I am told at other times :rotfl:

The big one tomorrow, from 8 mins to 20!

My calves are feeling quite tight, especially when I first wake up in the mornings.

Anyone have any advice on how much stretching to do after each session? Also which stretches would be most beneficial?
