Couch to 5k Running - Part Three

Well done everyone, you're all doing really well.
I did my second run of week 2 on Saturday and in the process I nearly trampled a puppy and two small children to death. The puppy was clearly fascinated by the lightening speed of my bright shiny trainers :rotfl: and the two small children following in its wake, narrowly escaped with their lives as I did my best Olive Oyl footwork to remain standing on my own two feet. I could see the father watching aghast at the impending car crash about to unfold
Planning to do the third run tomorrow.Mortgage

Well done Kiwi and Iamasa
My cold lifted a bit today so I ran the twenty minute run again with Dd and OH. They both completed it as well. I'm very proud.
We will start week six on Wednesday.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -

And so you should be, I think I'd be doing a few cartwheels at the end too!! :rotfl:
I've just done my third run of week two - it seemed much harder today than before and I was a bit concerned as I was very overheated at the end. Not sure now whether to do week 2 again; although I am sure it must be natural to have some performance anxieties and fear of failing when moving up through the levels.Mortgage

Well done Eyeore, I hope you had a lovely holiday
Kiwi I would try to move on to week 3 and see how you do. I think you will be surprised :A
We are about to go and do week 6 run 1 but it seems strange to run less than the time before. I might regret saying that afterwards though :rotfl:Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -

Yeah thanks for the encouragement, I have thought about it a lot today and decided I have nothing to lose. I would be disappointed if I didn't give it a go and keep thinking of that old expression that says it's better to try and fail, than not to try at all!
Hope you enjoy your run.Mortgage

The run went well, really stepped the pace up today. Well from snails pace to what would be most people's jog
I hope you both have a good run, we'll run again on Saturday.Life is short, smile while you still have teeth0 -
Wow, who knew that three minutes was such a long time? :rotfl:
I quite liked that whole routine though; it was such a great feeling after the first three minute run, to think that I only had to do that one more time and the rest would be easy.
The weather was atrocious with cold howling wind and rain, so I arrived home soaked to the skin and steaming like a race horse. The bad weather was probably a blessing or I might have self combusted!Mortgage
