We have done run two of week one tonight, dd is a touch stiff but fine.

We will finish the nine week programme just days before our hols, hoping not to look too bad in a bikini.

Today we have done our fourth run of the couch to 5k programme. It went very well, I can't believe how much ground we are covering compared to just run 2.

We worked out that we were 10% faster :j

Would love other people to join in:)

Hi all, I have just started this, moved to week 2 and have had to go back to week 1 runs as knees are so sore! Hope this improves as would love to complete the program! Will try week 2 runs next week :-)

    Good luck everyone, keep going!

    :T Well done Eyeore

Try taping your knees up so that they have support when you run, works for some people :)

We are not running today but will be tomorrow. DD2 has lost 2lbs this week so she is really pleased :D

OOH MY, to say my muscles are sore would be an understatement! :o

We finished it though and didn't give in to the voices in our head :j

Off for a nice warm bath with Epsom salts in

Didn't see this on here before I posted about it on the sports board. Good to see so many others trying it and finding success! :D

I've been running on and off for a few months but I really want to start building up my endurance so this week I started this programme. I downloaded the free app on to my phone and it beeps to me when I need to start running/walking. I'm really enjoying it!

My knees ache the next day after running, i now tend to get a bath afterwards as a excuse.

Last nights run was up and down some hills, im past the Couch to 5k plan. I've ran a few half marathons, but back onto improving the 5k time down to <20mins. Its currently at 23mins.

Anyway, what i wanted to say was....Stick with it, it will come with time. When i first started my 5k loop, it was really hard. I would set the loop, and start it. If i could not complete the loop by run-walk-run, i would walk the remainder of it. That gave the motivation to run again..

Anyhows, i remember my first 5k solid time was about 29mins...i can remember finishing the first solid 5k run without stopping, then dreaming of 4.5miles/6miles/10k road races. Several months later i was at the start line of the Great North Run...

My muscles feel so much better today, still going to wait until Monday to do run again
    .

I am making sure that I walk at least 12 thousand steps a day on the non running days.

Thanks Pink, well done on your runs! Spoke to trainer at the gym and he said it is just a case of building up strength so recommended me not to push too hard but keep going with week one or two for a few weeks then move up!
