Has anyone tried to e-mail or telephone this so-called liquidator? My e-mails are returned when I write to smithg@mestonreid.com and when I phoned 01224 625554 all I got was an answer machine which played a lengthy version of "Frere Jacquer"!
I've been on the website of Chartered Accountants for Aberdeen and no surprises: Meston Reid do not appear!!!!
Is Haldane up to his devious tricks or what?0 -

have managed to get out of my vodaphone contract 1.5 months early. Saved me £50 - but still £370 down on this account.
Hopefully will find out what Three are going to do tomorrow. They werent very helpful on Friday - but then again it was just one of their trained robots in the call centre and he wasnt willing to discuss anything and was only really interested in keeping to the script. Hopefully I will be able to speak to someone from the Scottish office tomorrow.£2008 for 2008 club member 3360 -

Thanks.
Hi ya
I wrote them a snotty complaint email. Post 134 on this thread shows the one I sent 3 - the vodaphone one was really similar. It has taken over a month for them to sort it out. I was given 3 options - upgrade early, half price line rental for the rest of the contract (whoppie - a whole 6 weeks) or cancel and not owe a penny for the rest of the contract (which I chose and saved £50) As phone was 10 yr old daughter's anyway she can go payg for a while until I find a deal with a network/dealer i trust (this may take a while)£2008 for 2008 club member 3360 -

Hi all,
Back in October, I sent them my first cashback claim, and received an email from them to confirm that it had been approved and that I would receive my cheque within 45 days as per the terms and conditions.
I then chased up with a query, when I sent my next claim in two months later. They apologised for the administrative delays and that it would be sent soon. I then sent my second claim in, and have received nothing - I am so far owed over £220, and by the end of my 12 months will be owed over £350.
What infuriates me is that they continued to sell contracts and cashbacks, despite acknowledging the financial dififculties, and that they accepted that they would pay me cashback and have yet to do so!
I wonder if there are any others who are owed money where Simply3G have confirmed via email that their claims have been approved, or if this would in theory make them contractually duty-bound to send me a cheque, for the amount that they promised?
Maybe we can organise a group campaign via Martin and MSE, they must have a lot of assets - though invariably a lot of debts. I intend to continue to send in my claims forms, and to push this as far as possible, if we all push this together then we may get a proportion of what we are owed even if it's not the full 100%. I'm sure that a phone contract at 50% of what we are paying would be much better than paying 100%...
On the flip side, I'm sure that I'm not the only person who has reaped the rewards of a cheap mobile contract over the past few years - we can just say that if we don't get cashback this year then we'll have to offset it against several years of cheap (or free) phones, which overall isn't too bad...
If the Trading Standards see that they continued trading, even after acknowledging the financial difficulties, then that should be enough to make alarm bells ring within the TSA organisation, but I wouldn't know what they could do as a result. Personally, a prison term or fine won't go far, because they still avoid paying us many consumers...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -

Even if you they sent a cheque, all you could do with it is frame it!
Don't waste any more money sending in claims. You can't get any blood out of a stone.
Concentrate your efforts on trying to reduce your ongoing monthly losses by trying to get your tariff reduced.0
