Even if you they sent a cheque, all you could do with it is frame it!

Don't waste any more money sending in claims. You can't get any blood out of a stone.

Concentrate your efforts on trying to reduce your ongoing monthly losses by trying to get your tariff reduced.

True, but by changing the tariff, Simply3G get out of paying you any cashback for any future claims. It's a tough one, I know... Continue at the contract and sit tight and hope for the cashback, or give up and limit any potential losses, and lose the right to cashback...

In theory, if everyone changes down contracts, then Simply3G won't need to pay them cashback as their claims will be invalid - thus potentially allowing them to have enough assets to pay off any outstanding claims, or a percentage of them.

I'd be curious to know the situation with this...

You seem to be in denial.

    There won't be any cashbacks.

Sorry Whowants2brich but Quentin is right - we are all scr*wed. There is a dogs chance in hell of us getting our money.

I recently wasted another £35 bringing an online claim against them to try and recoup my money - but that has been wasted as they have gone bust before the judgement deadline date.

The only things I can recommend you do is to register your interest with the people who are dealing with the administration (however it is really unlikely you will see any money back) and then pressure/beg your network provider into letting you reduce (or even let you out of) your contract.

There will be minimal assets - by the looks of it the company rented its premises and we are all far too far down the food chain to get any money.

Unfortunately we have to chalk it up to experience and move on - which I kkow is difficult as I am £840 out of pocket and am still seething.

  • And had TS done more than just 'note it for their files' perhaps we would have got answers sooner and other people may have been put off even contemplating new business or starting legal proceedings. In the continuing silence from both Simply3g and TS many people felt they had no alternative, especially as it appeared they were still trading.

Meanwhile, another useless authority - Companies House -continue to list both versions of the company on their webcsite as 'active' - and yet again I have pointed out to them it is incorrect.

I have made a formal complaint to TS about their lack of involvement and assistance considering how many people have been affected.

Of course, none of this gets us our money - but both of the above have a duty to the public and if we cannot have confidence in either of them then we are even more screwed.
  • We are happy for people to post legitimate complaints on this forum, however, posts encouraging harrasment or abuse are against site rules.

Posting personal details of people, whether they are related to the company in question or companies that are unconnected to the issue, are similarly unacceptable.

Please note amendment to point 3:

The accounting details that I have suggest that you will not receive full payment from Simply3G. Indeed , there may be no payment at all. The level of any dividend depends upon the assets realised for the liquidated estate less all costs of the liquidation process. All creditors will be kept informed as matters progress.

    Dear customer
Thank you for your communication with regard to Simply Communications UK Limited trading as "Simply3G".
Meston Reid & Co were approached for financial/insolvency advice by the sole director of Simply3G because the company was experiencing difficulties. Following a review of the overall position Simply3G was advised to cease trading at the earliest opportunity. The company is insolvent. In order to notify as many customers of this as quickly as possible a message was placed on the Simply3G website.
Michael J M Reid is a licensed insolvency practitioner and partner at Meston Reid & Co. He has agreed to act as interim liquidator and his appointment is anticipated over the next 14 days following which all known creditors will be notified, in writing. Due to the number of customers it would be appreciated if you could remain patient whilst initial queries are answered .
In order to help you meantime , I can provide the following information :

No further payments will be issued to customers under the terms of your agreement with Simply3G
In order to avoid your mobile contract being terminated, you should continue to make payment to your network provider i.e. Three, T-Mobile, O2 etc. Your mobile contract is with the provider and not Simply3G.

You have received this email because I hold your details. There is no requirement to contact me further meantime.
Only urgent matters will be dealt with individually.

  • Just got that email as well. Guaranteed he will get paid for the work he does winding up the company. We are sooooo far down the list we will be lucky if we get as much as 1p in the £.

I really wish that this government would do something to stop companies doing this to their customers. You would have thought they would have learnt after the Farepak scandal. Why are these companies allowed to steal peoples money like this?
