I thought last time the iPhone was released there was a 6mth break between contract and PAYG due to demand? Who knows... this time at least the 3GS is still in the offing as a base level phone, so only the tech heads & flashy toy owners will be going for the 4.Tim0

I think most people will be going for the newer one tim
I really hope there isn't a 6 month gap or I'm going to end up stuck in a very long contract lol[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Whats the thinking behind the glass rear then?
I see so many people having to put up with cracked iphone screens it seems a bit of an odd move, are apple trying to increase revenue via repairs?TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

iPhone already slaughters Android.. After this Google may as well give up..
Even makes the Evo 4g released a few weeks ago look pretty plain....
If you visit Engadget it gives you a side by side view of smartphones
This gives you a run down of stats. I wouldn't say the Evo looks plain!0 -

It's better for the wifi signal. Also, the glass has been made MUCH tougher. Have a look at the vid of the new iPhone on the Apple website and it explains the toughness of the glass as well as other aspects. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -

They developed the glass internally and it's near the strength of sapphire crystal[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

So if its dropped it wont crack? Or scratch in your pocket?
Just found this:TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
Well, I haven't tested but with sapphire crystal you could slam it on the ground and it wouldn't even scratch...
So I'd be pretty confident in having one without a case...
From the above spec the screen is better, processor is better (as pointed out earlier mhz isn't all, and the fact that the os and hardware is made for each other performance is boosted.. stats yet to be released though..), Speed is better than most there (apart from 4G wimax devices but unavailable in UK anyway), camera will be better even with lower MP thanks to their attention to detail, video is better, front camera better than 2 of them, microphone better than 2 of them, wi-fi supports n so that's better than them all..... and it's cheaper/same price as the rest of them... same weight too, and better battery life....
This is why Apple already out sell everyone apart from RIM[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
