One other thing - not sure if it's a positive or negative. The phone is now so slippy (due to the 'glass' on the back) that it slips off the arm of the chair, out of my pocket, and on to the floor ALL THE TIME. However, the glass is really, really, really strong now. So it hasn't smashed.

Get a Zagg InvisibleShield (available from Carphone Warehouse for £15). Protects the screen, the back and the sides from scratches etc and will give you a much better grip on the phone and when it's on surfaces too. It supposedly helps with 'Death Grip' issues too.

tesco need to pull their finger out. I phoned at 8am this morning and they had none in stock, the guys said he had heared nothing about stock being available the night before. If it continues like this I will have to take my business back to o2
I had this same frustration. But I'm glad I just carried on waiting. I'd finally managed to convince myself that it really didn't matter - it was just a phone. Then I got the call.

O2 had some in but I thought I'd take the night to think about it. I'm glad I did. The Tesco deal really is the best out there. You certainly pay more for O2. You get less minutes/data.. But you do get much better customer services. I've never had a problem with O2's customer services and tbh I was a bit sad to leave them.

I had an InvisibleShield on my Nokia. It looked really smart for a couple of weeks, but the edges of the Sheild start to accumulate dirt. I took off the shield on my nokia last night and it looked so much smarter without it. To be honest the Apple bumper is pretty good at giving you grip, but it wont protect the screen as well as a Sheild.

Can you guys just confirm, are people being able to order from Tesco from the phone number on the website? When they have stock, of course. Apart from this week, have people been able to do that much?

No, you have to download the bumper ordering app from the app store onto your new iphone 4. Then you can order your free bumper using this app.

The signal issue is completely solved by the bumper.

No it's not, if you take the bumper off it's still there. The bumper just masks the problem, it does absolutely nothing to solve it.
I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?

Delivery is 4-5 weeks, meaning that if you aren't satisfied you have no option to return the phone, very clever from Apple.

Quick question to those with Tesco contracts, how do you check your remaining minutes/internet balance please?
  • Being trying Tesco for a few days now, when I phoned today got told they had had a delivery of 4 32GB overnight but they had all gone. What is the point in getting 4 phones, very frustrating.

Getting a bit annoyed with Tech21 now. I've been waiting for the iBand d3o for the iPhone 4 since the phone was released. Their website states 'The iBand will be available from August 2010' but absolutely nothing else.

It'd be nice if they added updates. If I have to wait until the end of August for it to get released, I'll have to find another case.
