It appears O2 are now offering "pay monthly" iPhone 4's to new customers online (clickly). Their stock levels appear good in store too, so they may have lifted the "existing customers only" rule.

I have tried two local stores - both now selling to customers not currently with 02 and both had stock
Time to get the wallet out :D

I'm begining to wonder if the reason Apple are taking their time in sending out my iP4 is because they want it to go past the deadline for the free bumper. Wouldn't put it past them.

You only ordered it last week didnt you . And it said 3 week delivery.

I dont think you will have anything to worry about.

I finally order my iphone from apple last night. After a successful sales of my iphone 3g for £215 on ebay and 11 successfull referal from my website which generated £187 (www.iget.comule.com). I was able to raise £402 towards my iphone 4. So happy!!! Now three weeks to wait to get my hands on my iphone 4 :)

Almost 2 weeks ago. I cannot get my head round this supossed 3 week wait. Even when I asked Apple on the phone when I placed my order "why is it a 3 week wait", they couldn't answer.

The best way to think about apple store online is just as another retailer. (which happens to have same name as the manufacturer)

As Apple have will agreements with lots of various phone companies.
    (orange/t-mobile/vodafone/3/02/tesco etc.....)

So if they only sent handsets to Apple Store (actual shops) and Apple Store (Online) the other companies would not be happy. As them getting stock is difficult enough as they cant fill there demand.
And in the long run Apple will make millions of them all.

The other thing that makes the apple ones more sort after are they are officially unlocked. And O2 for one we only offer iphone 4 to present contract holder. Thus reducing the chance of getting one.

But unlike the phone companies least Apple have given you an estimated delivery unlike any of the others would/are.
  • I've just seen that on the Apple store online, there is now a wait of 5-7 days for the 8GB 3GS!!

The bumper offer is valid until at least 30th September. You then have 30 days from day of purchase to apply.

BTW, The online Apple Store says shipping in three weeks not delivery. It will take about a week on top of that to arrive in the UK from China.

Cheers for the info on the bumper, I had not realised it was on until the 30th Sept.

Yes, I also realise about the actual delivery date. I'm just chomping at the bits to get the phone to have a fully working handset after Apple's c0ck-up that is the OS4.0 update which has rendered my only mobile (iPhone 3G) useless which I use for work. Thankfully a friend has borrowed me a basic handset until my iP4 arrives, but that is besides the point if you know what I mean.
