Get a Zagg InvisibleShield (available from Carphone Warehouse for £15). Protects the screen, the back and the sides from scratches etc and will give you a much better grip on the phone and when it's on surfaces too. It supposedly helps with 'Death Grip' issues too.
I haven't got on with these at all. Find them a night to get on no matter how much time I spend. Had more success with 3.99 ones than these. Mine started to come off so i ordered my supposed free replacement from them. U pay in usd minimum $3.95 postage to you and they send it second class from manchester. However they insist you send it back to the us which costs about £4.60. If you dont do this they will not honour anymore replacements and bill your card $24.95.
So when cpw said it was free they where talking tosh.0 -
Received my Iphone today from Tesco, still not had confirmation email though! I have been able to replicate "death grip" as althouh I'm right handed I hold my phone in my left hand for some reason! I've ordered my bumper but I think I can get by OK without using it, not had it long enough to know for sure though. Other than that I'm loving it, very quick, responsive and the screen is amazing.0

The Tesco mobile cancelling thread (with the £4/MB data charges) had put me off going with Tesco, to the point where I was going to get the unlocked phone from Apple and go SIM only. Then I looked at the small print of the 3 mobile 'generous internet' PAYG. 150MB is not generous. Now I don't know what to do. £10 a month I might have gone with, on the basis of avoiding the insane Tesco charges if there was a problem with the phone and I needed to return it. Are there any Iphone 4 SIM only deals that I've missed. Everywhere seems to be at least £15, or more.0

I have installed InvisibleShields on two iPhone 4s without any problems. I found it difficult to install on the 3GS but that was because of the curves. I found it was easier if you spray your hands with the solution. Once it dries, it looks great and it hasn't come loose or anything.0 -
Here's some good news. I took my phone into Apple in Birmingham today to complain about yellow spots on my screen and signal issues. 6 minutes later ... I left the store with a brand new handset. I didn't buy the phone from Apple and had no receipt with me. They exchanged with no fuss and without me even asking for a brand new phone. I now have a phone with no yellow spots and the signal strength is great without the bumper on. With so many negative experiences from other customers, I am really pleased to report a good experience. Well done Apple at the Bullring.
Re-bumpers. My free bumper arrived within a week of placing the order via the free bumper app. (The delivery date was set for the end of August.)0 -
It appears O2 are now offering "pay monthly" iPhone 4's to new customers online (clickly). Their stock levels appear good in store too, so they may have lifted the "existing customers only" rule.In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0

I wondered if anyone can help? I know similar things have been asked before but I just want to make sure. I've just started using Iphone4 on Tesco Mobile and I want to make sure I know that when I'm at home I'm only using my own Wi-fi (so not using any data allowance, etc) I'm definteley connected to my Sky Wi-fi but the Mobile Network KB counter on my Iphone is going up all the time on it's own, is this just the phone counting the KB's while I'm connected to my home Wi-fi? In the top left on my phone it just says 02-UK with the bars showing I'm connected to Wi-Fi, take it that it would say something else if I was connected to something else? Also, does leaving 3G on affect anything to do with my use? I'm not particularly tecnically minded incase you haven't noticed!
Thanks in advance0 -
It will be counting the KB downloaded to the phone in general whether it be through your Wi Fi or your network provider.
When you see the Wi Fi bars, that's when it is connected to the Wi Fi network.
When leaving your 3G on, the only thing it will effect is your battery0 -
I'm begining to wonder if the reason Apple are taking their time in sending out my iP4 is because they want it to go past the deadline for the free bumper. Wouldn't put it past them.0
