I've had an iphone 4 on orange but I had to cancel because of bad network coverage.. I have been trying to get hold of one for around a month from tesco but they don't have the sims for the iphone in stock (this is in the last few days - they have the phones)

I noticed today o2 is accepting new orders for iphone 4's from non o2 customers? I am an o2 customer but my upgrade date is not til later this month so im going to take out a new contract today from instore... :)

    Hi Donmaster,
I found out on here, I too registered ages ago and have never been informed when they have got any in stock, I don't think they bother to be honest cos they only seem to get a few they just fly out as soon as they get them. Just keep trying, the website and phone recording still said out of stock all day yesterday and today despite them having some!
    Cheers

Don't Tesco just send the micro sim automatically when you get the phone from them?? I hope so cos mine is due tomorrow!
    Cheers

Have I missed something, but how come those (like me) who have ordered a iP4 directly from Apple have to wait 3 weeks+ yet there seems to be a steady stream of them heading towards people like Tesco, Orange, O2, etc.

You would have thought that buying directly from Apple would speed the process up.

The ones coming from Apple are sim free and you OWN the phone. The Tesco/O2/Orange ones are contract only, so people will be paying for the phone for the next 12/18/24 months.

Putting it like that, I see what you mean now. Mind you, wouldn't hurt them to send them out at the same time ;)

    Cheers Oscar.

I love and hate my iPhone 4 at the same time. The screen is superb, camera is fantastic, video camera wonderful. However, DO believe everything you hear about the signal. It is absolutely abysmal.

One other thing - not sure if it's a positive or negative. The phone is now so slippy (due to the 'glass' on the back) that it slips off the arm of the chair, out of my pocket, and on to the floor ALL THE TIME. However, the glass is really, really, really strong now. So it hasn't smashed.

I'm in a terribly quandary, but I think when all is said I'll end up keeping it.
