who knows they might actually launch a new product called the iglove! http://pocketnow.com/thought/humor-will-apple-reveal-an-iglove-on-friday-or-finally-an-irack

by the way they actually hold the patent application for a product called the iglove ! http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/01/02/apple_glove_patent/ so they can speed up the production and make more money by killing two birds with one stone :)

Cool. Not only can you make calls on it, you can pretend to moon walk like Michael Jackson.
  • I purchased my iPhone from Orange on release day and have been having these signal issues ever since (I haven't taken it back yet as I was waiting to see if Apple released a fix).

Would I be able to return the phone and cancel the contract since I feel there is a fault which is causing the signal to drop?

Sale of Goods Act would say that you can return the iPhone as "not fit for purpose", but you'll probably have to quote the Act and mention what Steve Jobs said today.

Go to Apple, buy a bumper and then apply for a refund. They said they would supply details of how to do this later.

0.55% of all iPhone customers have called AppleCare with an antenna issue.

Come off it; how many people were waiting to see what the new update would do to fix the problem?

I'd be more interested to see how many people will now take up the "return within 30 days" offer.

Don't get me wrong; I still fully intend to get an iPhone but I do object to misleading and pointless statistics.

  • The iphone 4 is great, then again so was the old iphone. As much as I hate Apple for the way they have people queuing up like animals to buy these things (thanks to the advertising hype), I don't think there is anything to touch the iphone.

My friend has a new HTC with Android and to be honest it's terrible compared to even my old iphone 3G. The menus don't scroll as well and it just feels like a poor immitation!

I think the free bumper or full refund offer seems fair enough really, Apple were never going to recall. I'm a bit dissapointed with the white Iphone "news" though, so it's gone from "second half of July" to "end of July"!? Does this mean it will be available for pre order before then? Will it be in shops on the 30th? (if 30th is the precise date of release) What's this "limited quantities" about too? So for someone like me who is waiting for the white on contract from Tesco it could be another month or 2 months or god knows how long!? Suppose it all depends if the shope already have stock of the white ready to sell but I think that is very unlikely, I sense a long wait............

In fact I just heard a reporter saying on Sky News that after this press coference, people will not be returning their iPhones. Users are either not bothered about the problem or don't experience it. So I do believe the 0.55% stat and I honestly don't think there'll be a massive wave of people returning their phones.
