Lewt, that's quite odd... I did a facetime call with a friend and it was awesome...! Perfect quality, no lag or anything...
Could the person you were talkin to have a bad internet connection?
I'm excited for the protocol to open up and be implemented within other VOIP providers....
It's limited atm, but it's a good protocol and I think it will do much better than Apple talk haha. That died a slow and painful death!!![FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

Just rang Tesco for update, they say 'hopefully more coming in next week' and importantly the chap said just in the stores. However, email to those who have registered online their interest will go out with details. And no, he didn't know if white ones were coming :-) It will just be 'whatever Apple sends us'.

I've done a few facetime calls with my son. 2 were done when both at home with good internet connections and both were perfect quality, no lag at all.
One was done when he was on a train and using the train's Wi-Fi connection. That one was quite jerky and eventually failed. I'm assuming the train's Wi-Fi wasn't that great.0 -
I got mine yesterday
It's my first iphone so not sure what to expect.
Firstly great phone and really easy to use.
I have a bumper case on mine (not an Apple one)
The signal thing is confusing me my O2 reception was always jumping about between one bar and three.
But the iPhone most of the time shows none or two but yet i can still make calls but the 3G symbol is not on often and the Edge symbol is not on a lot just the round zero.
Not sure whether that's good or bad.0 -

yes i had a Nokia previously on O2
I'm now on Tesco Mobile (O2)
Does anyone know of an app that will let me download a ringtone/message tones
I want just a straight forward phone ringing sound but not the old style phone one that is on the phone.0 -
Further to earlier post
I've just come off the phone after about 3/4 of an hour
Probably one of the clearest phone calls i have ever made to another mobile and throughout the phone call at no time was a signal showing
I kept checking every 10 minutes or so and it was showing zero bars all the way through

Me too!! Another iphone virgin
I finally got my hands on a 32GB iphone 4 yesterday. By chance as well. :j
I was going to my bank - which is located in a shopping centre and came across the queue for the iphone outside the O2 store. Was there for a grand total of 2 hours and 35 mins before walking out with my iphone in hand!!
Was given a great deal as well as had my loyalty discount added to my tariff taking it down to £15 pm :T
I had decided to buy the iphone before release so I bought a protective gel case and screen protector for it as my last touch screen phone got scratched to death and I don't want that happening to it.
I have has no signal issues and am loving playing with my new toy!!

The data you use on Wifi does not count towards the allowance.0
