i have the iphone 4 on orange which has 750mg data cap does this include wifi usage or just on orange 3g/2g/edge ?

BT Openzone Wifi is capped at 750MB (in addition to your 3G allowance). Private wifi access is not capped.

Never ever looked at the data use-age on the OH's iphone but on my Android phone I only measure non-wifi use

Was given a great deal as well as had my loyalty discount added to my tariff taking it down to £15 pm :T

Didn't think any discounts were given on the iphone

It did that with mine last year but only because I was in the last month of my previous contract and I got the discount for that last month. As soon as I was into the new contract it went to the normal iphone tariff price.

I'm going to get a SIM only 30 day rolling contract for the iPhone 4. Which network has faster/more reliable 3G, Three or Vodafone? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I'd guess it depends on your location.

Why not get a free pay as you sim from both and try them out? or you could just give one a go and then switch the following month, but is a little hassle obtaining PACs.

  • I have been an iPhone 3GS customer for a year now with O2 on a 18 month contract. Really wanted the iPhone 4 so decided to do early upgrade offer from O2, but instead of going direct i stopped by a Phones4U store in Leeds and was offered £300 for recycling my old 32gb iPhone 3GS (better than any deal i found online). That helped cover off my early renewal fee as well as offset the cost of the handset itself.

For those that are thinking ahead to next summer when Apple is likely to announce yet another iPhone, i was told by Phones4U that they will also offer to buy out my existing contract after 12 months, allowing me to upgrade early for free! Will have to wait and see if that will be honoured or not, but was happy with the deal i got.
