I am far from an Apple hater, however it might appear that this iphone software fix (in a few weeks) may not be the answer. Time will tell.

Look, I've had enough of people flaming for the sake of it Lucy

At first people were being constructive and making valid points... Now they're just flaming/hating on anything ANYBODY says on this thread.. It's a joke... It's no longer a discussion because everythings already been said.. it's reptitive, boring, and we are alllllllll sick and tired of hearing the same thing over and over again! I mean come on!!!! Do you not have anything better to do?

Really, it's getting very tiredsome...

EDIT: MSE used to be a fun friendly community... it's no wonder the community is being destroyed these days..!

My take on this is that any product that is as successful as the iPhone is going to get shot down. Particularly, if it's pitched and priced as a premium product and doesn't deliver top quality all round.

Apple are masters of marketing what's essentially an average piece of hardware to make it appear to be the best thing since sliced bread. Physically, the consensus is that it looks pretty good, but the quality doesn't quite match the price. One example of this is it's sold as a great music device, but yet the headphones that poor. For the price, you'd expect something of Sennheiser quality.

The AppStore has over 100,000 apps, but how many of these are inferior copies of existing apps or complete gimmicks? There are a few dozen core apps which are very good. In fact, most of the apps I have on both my 3GS and Desire, I prefer the Apple version.

The iPhone does 'simple' very well, which I guess is what alot of users want, it's just a shame it's priced so highly in comparison

I had one of the 'reserved' Three stock for customers in their 'upgrade' window who had expressed interest in an iPhone 4. I was called about the upgrade today saying they had a phone available but while I'd been VERY tempted, I really want to see how this antenna issue resolves itself and maybe wait for the next (white!) batch.. so I passed up the initial chance just to see how things settle..

It's a lot of money and a couple of years to commit if I'm not absolutely 100% sure.. but it seems that Three are now contacting customers.

I am purchasing an Iphone 4 but yet i can not understand why people who dislike the phone then come in the thread about the phone to talk about it ? it just seems to make no sense.

totally agree
this is a core feature of any phone
Apple may just leave it and rush another model out
wouldnt want to be stuck with their mistake

Haven't you been reading anything?

They've confirmed a software fix will be out to fix this issue shortly.... When have apple ever left a problem and rushed out another model?

Plus once again, it's not that much of an issue!! Really think it would be the best selling phone for Apple ever if it didn't work? lol!

Ive actually followed this thread sinch the beginning and like fellow poster, waited in anticipation for the releash of the iphone 4! On the 24th Of june I planned on obtaining the iphone on Tesco's mobile network...gosh they really got on my last nerve... was on the phone redialing like a jelous lover starking her ex-lover lol.
Was on the phone and managed to get through to only have them hang up the phone on me, and the second time they told me that their systems were down...:mad: fed up I decided to stick with Orange - and take a early upgrade...What can I say recieved my first Iphone on friday 25th and have not been disappointed...dont have any of the problems been mentioned in this thread and really happy with the iphone....in all honesty the iphone 4 is great!!!!!! :T
Cant wait for more people to get the iphone 4 so that I can test out face time!!!!!!!!!!!! :T
