Well hopefully they there will be some official announcement at some point.

I would guess (and it is only a guess) that it'll be Monday or Tuesday.

I have not found one situation where I haven't been able to make a call in a week, when you use one day to day I think you'll find the same. Don't just read something and assume its the same for everyone lol

You seem to be assuming that because this known fault doesnt affect you it doesnt affect anyone else?

    It does.

Those are all just rumours, indeed one of them is from last week which said the fix would arrive this week.

I like my I4, It's jsut a flaw in the hardware having designed it like that. I won't be returning mine as I don't really have a problem with it dropping calls.

So Apple have done what we all expected; a software fix. I'm of the opinion that the "big drop in bars is because their high bars were never real in the first place" is a very good phantom excuse.

I do like the way they say "Since this mistake has been present since the original iPhone, this software update will also be available for the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G". I read this to mean that the error was actually is iOS4 (hence the issues with dropping signals on the 3GS after the software update) and that as the phones all use the same frequency definitions, they'll all be fixed by 4.0.1

Please bring on the next complaint about the iPhone 4 for us to debate about, because the signal issue is OVER!!!

Well you can't say fairer than that, they have offered a refund if you are not happy, the explanation does make sense as if you upgrade the 3gs you get the same issue but find that you do actually have some signal when it says none, some with the touch wifi bars, I have to also say after upgrading my old 3gs to o/s4 I was supprised to see in some areas here I now had full strength where previously it showed 50% so there could be some truth about it indicating wrong, only time will tell.

Just to let people know that I have received a micro sim from o2 today! It also comes with a sim adaptor too! I registered my interest for one a while back but still haven't decided if I will be getting an iPhone 4 so for anyone who has done the same then I'd imagine they should be receiving one soon.

Over? Not so sure about that.
