A mobile contact is not a credit agreement, unless you pay for the handset a £X per month - 3 got round UK law by providing x video mins per £X a month, it is a service agreement therefor.

What has that got to do woth a mobile phone service contract? Stop diverting and moving the goalposts.

I'm not too bothered if you believe me or not.

You gave incorrect information and I politely corrected it. It comes up every single day on here. Do a search. Take it or leave it.

    What?
I was talking about credit (mobile) contracts

    You seem to missunderstand that.

Do you really want to tete a tete over contract law?

    Like I said.

You gave advice. It was wrong. I corrected it. You made an issue of it.

It is too late for this, so you can have the final word if you wish :rotfl:

It is a problem with the band, as that band is the aerial, and putting your hand around it is masking it, whether or not there is also the issue of short-circuiting part of it

This issue, of the signal dropping off when a hand surrounds the aerial, can be demonstrated with other phones.

I've just done it with two others here. One of the SIMs is roaming; on Orange it dropped from 7 to 3 bars on its meter, while on Vodafone it dropped from 3 bars and lost the signal

The difference is that to produce that effect with those 2 phones, you need to hold the phone around the top as that is where the aerial is. To quote Steve Jobs, don't hold it there. And nobody does. That's why other designs have the aerial at the top.

The difference is that Apple have designed the aerial in a different way than everyone else, so that it is bound to be surrounded by the user's hand.

    Fixed it for you.

I went to the O2 shop to see the iPhone 4 and at first glance I thought they still had the 3GS on display! I have a 3GS but I didn't see anything that would make me want to upgrade to the iPhone 4 when my contract expires, I didn't even think the screen was any sharper. A bit disappointed actually.
