Thanks for that, I stand corrected. I wasn't aware it was affecting the wifi too.
I believe the wifi is a seperate issue i.e. an os4 one whereas the signal it now seems may be due to a batch going out that failed to have a protective coating put on some internal metal parts. This seems to be an issue more to the yanks than europeans.

There's at least one Youtube video where the presenter's voice is definitely in an English accent.

And the metal band is on the outside, with a small gap in the area being discussed, which is perhaps being bridged by the user's hand.

Its OFFICIAL from a supervisor at Tesco Mobile

The system is not requesting money from banks so NO orders are being processed.

Anyone who believes they have ordered check your inbox there's probably an email cancelling the order.

They are working on their system today and everyone will have to phone the telesales team again to replace orders.

No definite date when the system will be live possibly tomorrow

All i got was lots of apologies and the possible promise of a call back when the system is live

    Won't hold my breath

I was on the phone Tesco this morning and was 20 seconds away from completing my order when the system went down. The guy promised to call me back as soon as the system came back. Mmmm.

I called again a few moments ago to be told it did come back briefly but had crashed again. She said there's no time to call customers back if the system crashes in the middle of an order.

"Great customer service" i said. "we're not allowed to" said she. I'm ok with that but DONT PROMISE to call me back then.

She then said they didnt expect the system to be back up until 10am tomorrow.

Amateurs with $*!& customer service.

UPDATE!!! - The guy did just call me back to say he would call me in the morning once the system returns. He said they are not allowed to call but wants his customers to be happy ones. Promising, but, we'll see!!

I think the fact that Apple for the first time decided to make its own case tells you all you need to know about this. The company has previously left that up to third-party manufacturers.
I think that's more to do with the fact that they can get away with charging fanboys $29 for a strip of plastic that third-party manufacturers are selling for 50 cents.

  • Just a thought

Does this mean double the amount of credit checks when they eventually re take the orders
