Did you have to give your PAC code, or will they take that at a later date. My Mum got a Tesco phone a while ago and was able to do it after she got the phone. I haven't received mine yet so don't want to ring to be told they need it now.

I have got my PAC but the guy said to phone back on 0845 3014455
    when i have the phone.

Just got through and the person on the line said their booking system has jammed up again, and to try again in 2 hours.

This is simply ridiculous. I'm so angry right now.

I have to disagree with the guy quoted in the article.

The phone Steve used at the WWDC did not display this issue (he made a FaceTime call and appeared to be holding the phone "the wrong way").

Didnt 'Steve' have a well documented wifi connection issue during the WWDC which he blamed on an overloaded network........... just a coincidence i guess.

I may well be wrong, but isn't the issue with phone signal, so 3g or calls, not wifi?

The issue is with the antenna, which is also used by wi-fi.

There is an issue with wifi especially on the touch 3g when you upgrade to os4 and on the 3gs phone, so it seems part of the issue is software.

Everyone can sit here slagging off Apple and Steve Jobs, but the fact remains that they've sold out everywhere (in the O2 shops anyway) and probably could have sold 10 times as many yesterday.

I till want one, I'll just hold it in my right hand ;-)

If anyone is really, really upset about their signal dropping out, then I've got an old 3G which has a great signal. I'll do you a swap....
