I believe it is. I have been monitoring another website's forum and two people have completed their orders and another is been in the queue for 20 mins.

Apparently people have been trying since 7.45am.

I can't get through myself yet so will keep plugging away.

I'd rather they put me in a queue for an hour than having to ring back every minute, only to hear the dreaded engaged tone!

Good to know that they're delivering on a Saturday. You had to wait a while though! I'm gonna go mad just sitting here and ringing back every minute. How often did you ring back before you got through? Every minute, every 5 minutes? etc
  • If i go to the apple store to take out a contract on 3 can I keep my same number if i have my PAC code?? TIA :)

iPhone 4 loses signal, Jobs says you're to blame

Jobs' response is typical of the way Apple fanboys respond to all criticism - "The product is perfect, if you're not happy with it then the fault lies with you".

This Is disgraceful, i had the Iphone 3g and i had issues with dust under the screen, and now the new iphone has reception problems.

I now cant decide which touch screen phone to get. Sony X10 looks good.

i think people who got the new iphone and are having problems with reception should complain.

Complain to watchdog, bbc, and and media you can think. Then lets see what Job's response is then.

Tried every five minutes or so but was travelling into work in the middle of that time and did not try.

Got to work and pressed redial about twenty times and just got lucky i think.

Once it rings you then get the annoying music until an operator answers that was after about 15 minutes.

I was pleasantly suprised with free delivery on a Saturday.

I have to disagree with the guy quoted in the article.

The phone Steve used at the WWDC did not display this issue (he made a FaceTime call and appeared to be holding the phone "the wrong way"). None of the reviewers of the phone mentioned any problems with signal dropping (in fact Engadget have actually tested their review model and confirmed it does NOT suffer from this issue.). In addition to all this there are people who have purchased iPhones and have not only claimed but also shown images proving theirs are not affected (and some of them rather annoyingly claiming that the problem doesn't exist because their works or claimng it's all in our heads.)

Clearly there are 100% working iPhones out there so there is clearly some defect with the ones displaying this issue. If all of them were affected I'd be more willing to accept "sometimes it's good enough.". The fact that some are unaffected proves "they could be better."

Did you have to give your PAC code, or will they take that at a later date. My Mum got a Tesco phone a while ago and was able to do it after she got the phone. I haven't received mine yet so don't want to ring to be told they need it now.

I upgraded to an Iphone 4 from a 3G yesterday with Orange, on a £35 per month tariff (saving £5 off my original tariff) and the handset cost me £29.99 Very happy with this, as includes unlimited internet access, unlimited texts, 600 mins, magic numbers etc etc.

no offence but how the hell did u get all that!?

    are you a high user?

I'd like to know too. I've been with Orange for years, upgraded to an iPhone for the first time and was told there was no way I could get any discount for being a loyal customer.

With that said, I did get £35 a month, unlimited texts and internet. I also get magic numbers and thirty free picture texts as a Premier Service customer (Orange's service for long-standing customers).

I had to pay £119 for the phone though.
