I didn't say anything of the sort!
And actually from checking my notes, the number listed in this thread and the one I rang is different.
Edit: Actually I can see 0800 011 8011 so I'll try that. It appears to be Merchant Support (seen it on their website and not sure if they'll deal with my query) and it must be out-of-hours now, as it's asking me to leave a message. Gah.
Have to try tomorrow now. I've spent hours trying to get through!0 -
There's no attitude, just that your replies are very curt, and could be miscontrued. I have seen the KGB Merchant phone number on the site previously and didn't think it was worthwhile trying it, as I am a customer, not a Merchant.
Why someone would repeatedly post "nothing" replies on a forum, and say vaguely, "I posted an 0800 number before" and "I am on my phone" is a decidedly strange way to reply, but that's just my opinion.
I'll let others draw their own conclusions. All I will say, is that when someone asks me a question on a forum, or is asking for help from the general membership, I do my utmost to reply concisely, politely and clearly.
PS: I've been out all day today so haven't tried KGB (Customer or Merchant numbers). I'll try tomorrow.0 -

My replies were short and to the point because (yet again) I was on my phone! If you are can't be bothered to check for a message that has been posted only a few messages beforehand to help sort your own problem out, why the hell should I bother to do it for you.
When I am on my computer, I have quite clearly signposted where to find the number for other people i.e. I have told them the post number. However, after your attitude and your willingness not to take responsibility, I won't bother to help anyone else on this thread.
I rang the number that a previous person posted (as I quite clearly stated) and the man I spoke to put me through to customer service (as the OP clearly stated) and I was helped.
If you can't be bothered to do that too, then you clearly don't want to take the advice given. However, there are lots of people who only come on here to complain and moan without wanting to accept help or advice. Personally, I don't understand that attitude.
Your choice!
Please don't bother to respond as I won't be bothering to read or reply to this thread again!0 -
I'm glad we agree on something.
As for your assumption, I DID read through the thread, but again, felt that phoning the Merchant number wasn't applicable to me (or were you on the phone when you read that too?).
I'd NEVER log into a forum when someone was asking a perfectly reasonable question, to reply, "I'm on my phone" twice. Bizarre. I suggest you calm down a little, I'm a perfectly nice person.
Just about to try their Merchant number, the Customer service one NEVER seems to get answered...0 -
Just phoned the 0800 011 8011 (Merchant Support) number. First time it rang and rang for a few minutes unanswered. Second time, a nice man explained that the Customer Support number has "closed down" (?), very odd, and that all customers should phone the Merchant number instead for any queries.
You'd think they'd update their website! I spent hours on Monday trying to phone the Customer number! Hope it helps anyone trying to contact KGB.
(In the spirit of good karma, I'm updating saynoto0870 with the info above).
The guy dealing with Customer Service is on his lunch, so, waiting on a return call...0 -
KGB offer some good deals BUT on occasions they may fail to send a voucher number, the voucher number may be invalid and may not work at all. The end result is no goods from the merchant.
You are told to contact the merchant, then wait for 21 days (or more) but when the goods still do not arrive, assuming you can get through to KGB, you discover there is a strict cut off point after which you are no longer entitiled to a refund.
If you pay by Paypal unless you open a dispute quickly you will find yourself out of time as well and cannot get a refund.
End result - payment made to KGB and no goods Yes you are robbed again.
So, to all prospective KGB users - Beware and buy at your peril. You have been warned by nmany forum users.0 -
Gah, "Merchant Support" seems to have an answering machine suggesting you email them too, now!
I'm not disputing other's problems but I've had no bother whatsoever from KGB. The most common one I've had with Groupon and KGB has been when a merchant can't honour a deal because they're too busy.0 -
Firstly, thank you to the MSE Forum Team for changing the title of this thread and correcting the spelling too
Secondly, to bring some balance to this thread. All of my recent deals have gone through smoothly
Thank you kgbdeals and merchants for the deals I bought, well worth the money. :T0 -
I am absolutely fed up of KGB Deals.. with no response to emails or contact forms filled in; are the off with peoples money?
Every time I fill up the form the automated response says track your history online when their history page itself is broken and says unknown error.
Bought a Manicure and Pedicure deal a few months back and went to redeem it today; was told that they are not fulfilling KGBDeals anymore because KGB hasn't paid them. This is absolutely ridiculous!!

Hi,
Like many of you I was "roped" into buying a good deal from KGB Deals and when nothing appeared after payment I promptly emailed the customer service (using their system) and was told they will engage with the supplier to sort out. At this point, my mistake was not raising a "dispute" in PayPal as I was told I would get something in the next 48hrs... this time went by, still nothing and by then my time limit was up in PayPal... priceless way to grab your money :T
So I did, as many of you and mailed, phoned both KGB Deals and the Supplier but none of the 0800, 0292, etc numbers actually get through. Mailboxes for leaving messages are full..ummm wonder why!!!
So I ask myself this... if I was setting up a business then maybe it's the model I should adapt as risk free... think about it, quick website, few good deals, get the money, hold off the customer for a few weeks until you can't dispute on PayPal, then ignore and I am sure 70-80% of people will just give up on reclaiming their hard up money and put it down to a bad experience as they have NOWHERE to go... so a nice money earner...
On the plus side, I can FULLY recommend Groupon whom are fab (and you speak to someone!) when things go wrong.
So my question to Martin Lewis :money:on here, is how do we get back the monies paid to KGB Deals when there doesn't appear to be a process to follow? Can we small claims court them? My total "lost" at present is about £30.... now £30 times many thousands customers = a substantial return for this company without risk!
Martin :money:, what is your advice and could you get in touch with KGB Deals to find out what the heck they are going to do please???
