My story is this, and both KGB Deals and the merchant are useless...

KGB Deals advertise the Window/guttering cleaning service provided by MTV window cleaning for £29...
I buy voucher, i get told the dates available, i make the booking, get booking confirmation....

The day comes, but the cleaners dont, a phone call to ask why, gets treated with "didnt know you were booked in, our cleaners are 200 miles away", followed by i'll look into ! (which i can tell is a fob off)..
Emails now get ignored, filed with KGB who reply once, and nothing more....
Was within the 45 days of Paypal, so escalated now in Paypal and hope to get my money back....
KGB Deals are useless as they fail to handle this situation.
MTV window cleaning are completely useless, and is most likely run by a grade A idiot.
  • I am a regular user or 'Deal Websites'.

I have used and would recommend the following:
    Living Social
    Groupon

I have used and WOULD NOT recommend
    KGB Deals

Hope this helps you to make your own decision on using Deal Sites & who to / who not to use.

Bought a windproof umbrella offer from them (Through Redstone Shopping) and nothing arrived. After several emails, KGB refunded the 9.99 for the umbrella but have refused a refund on £4.99 postage, saying it "has to be used on one of their deals" . Tried this, it was rejected. When I emailed them AGAIN, I was told the offer had to be over £10. I have since told them that it was NOT MY FAULT the offer could not take place and they are holding my money falsely. Who do I make a formal complaint to like some governing body? Is there a long distance selling governing site that manages this? It may be only £4.99 but I will go to the papers if necessary as I am sick of their attitude.

Heres my latest on the above to do with Window Cleaning....
All went quiet with KGB deals, so i posted a message to them saying 'I havent forgot about my refund, where is it ?!'

Anyway, KGB Deals reply back with:
"The merchant attended the site and has completed the deal" !!!
    HAHA !!!!!
The whole point i raised with them, was that the merchant had not attended, and fobbed me off too!...

So the next bit made me laugh, KGB Deals say "No Refund will be given as merchant completed deal as per appointment"...
Yet i have an email from the merchant apologising for not making the appointment!!!!

However, i was within the 45 days of the paypal limit, and paypal awarded me the full refund, for identifying KGB Deals as a company run by morons!!
KGB deals off my list now...

Do KGBDeals actually answer the phone? I keep getting the recorded message saying they're busy and to email instead.

I'd much rather talk to someone as phone calls get resolved much more quickly.

I have a strange one. I'd bookmarked a voucher which runs out in the middle of October. However, in my list of vouchers it says "redeemed" and I can't work out why. I looked at it not too long ago. All I can think is that I've ticked that I've used it by mistake.

Should I keep trying to phone, is it worth my time?

I actually rang them today and was put through to a very helpful customer service advisor.

I rang an 0800 number mentioned in this thread.

I'm using both the 0800 number (from the Terms Of Service page) and the Cardiff number from saynoto0870, which I assume is the same as I get that recorded message too. Unless you mean there's another number?

I've been trying for the last 2 hours!

I'm on my phone at the moment. The number is in a previous message on this page. Look for my name as I have dig posted it more than once.

I've already read through this thread. The number from the Terms Of Service page (at the very bottom): http://www.kgbdeals.co.uk/company/terms?l=GB

    Cardiff Gate Business Park
    Cardiff
    CF23 8RA
    Phone: 08000 118 012
    Fax: 02920 548030

From saynoto0870: 029 2054 8000 (option 1), also listed as 0800 0118012, which implies they are one and the same.

From your replies I assumed you were telling me I was phoning the wrong number. Has anyone tried again and again and then got through?

I didn't say anything of the sort!

And actually from checking my notes, the number listed in this thread and the one I rang is different.
