It Was me Kaz  - and I totally agree with you, bit like doing doing an SOA - gets it out of your head where it's just crashing around like a bumper car, getting nowhere fast.

Hello Oldstylers,
Haven't been able to post on here for ages, but I have a day off work today and want to clean the house and get all ready for our holiday (we go on Saturday). So I have typed up a list of jobs to do round the house and am mustering up the energy to do them. In town today bought some more microfibre cloths and will soon be cleaning with them and stardrops everywhere. Will hang 1 load of washing on airer in a mo.
Dinner is fajitas, chicken is currently defrosting.
I was hoping to clean out the car today as it's so filthy I'm almost ashamed! But it looks like rain soon so not sure...
Just been eating lunch as I typed, so no excuses now I must spring up and get cleaning!
Hope you all have a good day.

Kaz & Jo - I'll work out how to upload it later and that will be one of my jobs for tonight. I must admit though some of them are quite personal and I might have to remove some of the entries even if only to spare my blushesYou laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0

I do have a question for all you cooks.......do you use a book holder while you cook? I am sick of running back and forth to the book, trying not to get it dirty etc etc. Have been looking around on the net but they all look expensive - any ideas????
I bought one from Matalan a couple of weeks ago for £1.50 - was £3. Might be worth looking in there?0 -
Late start for me today!
I have just typed up my thank you letters, so saved on the cost of some cards, used a pretty leafy banner on word to do them. Still catching up after the weekends fun, where does all the washing come from?
Breakfast - hm muesli and soya milk (for the hot flushes!:o )
Lunch - celery sticks, tomatoes, carrots and hummous (left over from party)
also leftover birthday cake (costcos choccy special)
Dinner - chicken breast (more leftovers!) and cauliflower and carrots from organic box. Probably more leftover choccy cake!
We are off to Cornwall next week for oh's birthday treat. Tickets for the minack theatre only cost £7 just hope it doesn't rain. This is definately going to be a self catering break to keep costs down so will pack more of the party leftovers (yes I overcatered!:D ) to take down there. I will also pack a couple of books bought in the sales that we have been waiting to read.
Got a payment from Amazon today! :j to put into the mortgage pig. Need to list some more books now.
Purpleprincess - (((Hugs))) what a disappointment for you!
((((Hugs)))) also the Hesters ds. My sons school year tragically lost several of their friends, some years are so unlucky like that but he says that it changed them all for the better horrible though it was, they all grew up quickly and most realised that life was not to be wasted.

I have only just started it to be honest, also on Black cohosh as I am reducing the hrt with a view to coming off it altogether! A friend of mine has recommended the soya milk so I guess it works for her!Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

hello everyone.
not posted since monday as i have felt exhausted again. I ended up watching my 2 nephews on monday while everyone else got on, and then went to meet friends for lunch on tuesday. today DH escorted me to my midwife appointment, and managed to hang one of the new doors before we went, and hoover up for me. I am honestly pretty useless today, but will do what i can in short bursts.
Me and the baby are both doing well. I can't believe i only have another 2 appointments if the baby is born on time.
Purple princess - hugs for the exam results. Well done on passing the one that you did, and don't be too hard on yourself.
pooky - enjoy your well earned break. You deserve it.
apologies to all of you for starting the pukka pad craze. I've never been a trend setter, so it's a bit of a shock to me. :rotfl:
feeling a bit brain dead so i am going to go and make a cuppa, and see what bits i can achieve that will make it look like i have done something today.
