Shez - If you ever find a way of doing a timed posting then please let me know! How you feeling now hun? YOu sound much chirpier. Kingdom Hospital was a tv drama shown about a year ago - in brief it was about a hospital that was distubed by hauntings.

Now I hate smart a***s who point out people's spellings to feel smug, but I did love the idea of a hospital being Dis - tubed, who knows where it might lead.

its not really man trouble (at least not that one), but ex-partners and kids - oh, and throw in a couple of parents and so-called well-meaning friends - sometimes the only option seems an outer-hebridean island.
Ex-partners were designed to be a problem, its their job, kids.... well, can't help you there, whatever is going on, its bound to be your fault, and you are supposed to be on a 21 year long guilt trip. (I'm on the subsequent Way-hay-hay you're in your 20s trip that follows the 21 Yr. G.T.) Parents, well just smile serenely as if you know something they don't, say something like "If you say so" in a tone that is PREGNANT with I'm humouring you overtones, and imagine WHERE you're going to throw them in... (well you said throw in a couple of parents, the answer is often in the question don't you think?)

See, simple isn't it (when I'm looking at someone else's life from this slightly skewed angle - see previous description of self as Mrs. Slug Woman in a heap)

Hi not much doing today, hubby cut back our tree in the front as it was smelling a bit and the flies were having a wild time out there:eek: looks a lot tidier too!

Went to MIL's today, to get 2 wedding pressies, got some lovely glasses and a decanter, got teatowels, towels from m&s and 15 pounds. Nephew was there, he is 2, kept on wanting kisses from me:rotfl: what a darling!

Saw that she had a envelope for ds1 when he is bigger, papers from his year he was born, pics of the family, one of dad, in a lovely red jumper:rolleyes: one of mum, dad and me, aged 9, very short hair then!

One of each of my brothers, one of dads mum, and one of my granny and grandad, my great aunt on the right and no idea who the man was on the left;) no idea how they got the photos though! mystery:rolleyes:

Good idea though, will have to do something like that with my other two.

    Hi all,

Just popped on to send big ((((((((HUGS)))))))) to everyone who's fed-up or ill today.

Purple Princess - what a shame about the exams, but when you're doing 2 jobs as well as studying you actually did very well! Sleep on it and see how you feel about the resits tomorrow.

Topher - Primary teaching - not surprised you're worn out! One of my friends has just retired and she'd been a supply teacher (Key Stage 1). I remember she once had a class like the one you've had and it left her exhausted after a month. Hats off to you and to all teachers - especially the ones on this thread! (Hi Vicky A and Michelle! And any others. My DD1 is at Uni and has decided to do a PGCE after her degree and teach KS2 children. I think she's really brave - good thing some people want to do it though!

    til next time

    ivyleaf xx

I nearly bought a Pukka pad in WHS today, but saw it was the "academic year" one so i didn't - not realising it had the year planner etc. I'll have a think and try to decide whether i'd actually use a Pukka Pad if I had one. :p
