I wanted to say "happy birthday" but realised that might be a bit wasted as it clearly wasn't. A good talking to is clearly in order.
I got married in March and was 16 weeks pregnant at the time-we've been together the larger part of ten years and were engaged for almost three before the wedding. The night we got married he had my cousin drive me home from the restaurant where we had dinner. He said he was popping to Asda to get some beers so that the stragglers could come home and continue the party there.
I called half an hour after I got home as I wondered where he was. He, his mother and a large portion of our guests were in the pub over the road from the restaurant  They had got side tracked and as he had not explained the plan to them, they assumed I had gone home because I was tired.
Having said that he is an angel and does most of the cooking and cleaning in the house, gets up with DS at night and always brings me tea. He had just considered me to be his wife for so many years that the actual ceremony didnt change who we were to each other...and he's taken his punishment well. I tease him about it all the time and like he says-we will never forget our wedding night.
I realise my situation is obviously different to yours, but I wanted to share just to illustrate that men really ARE numpty's and dont think further than their noses;)0
