Just a note to praise the customer services team at EFH. I migrated to EFH (from Virgin) last week on Tue 8th March, but for some reason no one could figure out, I could not access any websites even though the connection was fine. I kept getting 'This page cannot displayed' page no matter which website I tried. I did the 'ping test' and the connection was working fine. I also reinstalled the modem (Speedtouch) but still no websites. After days of trying to sort it out, I gave up and asked EFH for the MAC code so I could go back to Virgin. EFH were very good about this, and they provided the code on the same day I asked for it! What a great service! So I quickly called Virgin to tell them to reconnect me, and they said that it would take about 5/7 days. When I got home, EFH started working perfectly, and has been so ever since!
Is it a miracle? I am now seriously thinking about going back to EFH before Virgin reconnect me again, but I'm a bit scared incase I have the same problem as before. maybe Virgin did something so the EFH connection wouldn't work, then 'fixed' it as soon as I told them I was returning? is that possible? I am really puzzled. any ideas? In the mean time, I think I will ask them whether I'm on IP or Datasteam.
