Had a very productive day yesterday, full day at work which is blessedly quiet at the moment but will kick off in September by the looks of our diaries. DH took kids into town, bumped into my mum and had a coffee with her then bought the worlds ugliest ironing board!!! DS came to the door as soon as I got home and said "Look at what Dad bought Mum, isn't it the ugliest ironing board ever!!" :rotfl: He's only 7 bless him.

Cleaned all the nooks and crannies on the kitchen floor yesterday, under the DW and WM mainly, they get so manky. Also did 2 loads of washing and usual general tidy up. Made mocha squares, haven't tasted them yet as they have been made for tea basket for the ladies at Holiday Club. Will make weetabix cake and cookies too. My sister works in a pottery shop so she is making mugs for each of them so they can have tea and cakes on their last day. Will make fairy cakes for all the kids too. Will need to find a pretty basket for it all, think I may have to walk in to town at lunchtime.

Still haven't touched the front garden and DH needs to clean the fish tank, it's filthy. Am getting a tad annoyed with DH he is spending too much time on the PC, just seems to be watching Ebay most of the time and it bugs me. He told me he would put away some dishes which were sat on the counter yesterday morning, when I got home they were still there!!

I know I can't expect him to do things exactly they way I want them done but I do at least like them done in some manner or fashion! The trouble is if he wanted me to do something whilst he was at work and I didn't bother my a***, he would be seriously annoyed!! Funnily enough if you asked him what my biggest fault was though he would say me saying I would do things and not doing them. I don't think he realises how long he is on the PC, can you get a timer or something so that I can show him that 4-5 hours a day isn't acceptable?

Anyway, sorry to moan. Penny Pincher, please don't let small minded people get you down (easier said than done I know), I don't understand why people feel the need to judge others so much these days.

Kazonline, well done on posting your SOA, you're very brave. Hope you're feeling a little more positive, you will get there.

    Breakfast: Muesli
    Lunch: Don't know
Dinner: Shepherds Pie & veg (DH is making, if he can tear himself away from the PC).

WM was on when I left, whether it will get hung out or not as requested (twice!) is another matter. Need to make a couple of loaves tonight and I think some cookies for the Hol Club basket, then an early night methinks.

    Have a lovely day all.

morning all, or at least it was when i started reading this thread. i'm never doing stuff before coming on here again!!!

essexgirl, when you do your choc fountain (so jealous) don't put cream in it, my friends tried this and it went all gloopy, you have to use the oil or whatever they recommend

pp, please don't let small minded peoples attempts at opinions get you down. not quite the same situation but i was unemployed for nearly two months and was not gonna claim jsa cause i didn't want to be some sponge, but a friend of mine convinced me by saying thats what it's there for, when folk fall on bad times and need a little help till they pick themselves up and it's the sponges who give benefits such a bad reputation. anyway, long point short, there is no need to feel bad about being on benefits, thats what taxes are paid for.

anyway i had a wee lie in this morn, alarm went of at half nine. popped on to check my email then went to the nurse for my blood test. got docs appt next monday morn to get results and have another wee chat.

so far today i've weeded the front garden (it's just a wee one) and painted the windowsill in preperation for dad coming next week, he noticed it wasnt done last time, wonder if he'll notice it is done this time???

i'm gonna stick on a load of washing and search through the wardrobe for some nice clothes to wear this evening as i have.....a job interview :j got a call this morn from the manager of my gym asking if i could come in this evening, they want someone to start asap!!! i might still get out of hell before my manager comes back :j oh i'm so excited, i was jumping around the living room, so please send me good luck vibes today folks, i really need this!!!

i've got some other tidying and stuff to do, but i'll pop back on randomly. hope you all have a super day and big hugs to those who dont.

Thanks Lynsayjane - will avoid cream - am looking forward to trying it out but no so looking forward to cleaning it after!

(((PP))) I have no time for people like that - do not worry or let it upset you any further although I know that can be hard. Rise above.
