Morning :hello: ... Feeling a bit off-colour this morning, with the sort of headache you get when you have a stomach upset  ... PenPen, next step with the flat is to wait for the mortgage offer to materialise and the solicitor to receive the searches back ... Also need to pop over to the flat sometime soon to take accurate measurements (rather than the cursory ones I took at the viewing) and map it out on graph paper so I can work out what furniture will go where ... Contacted the HA agent yesterday about this and am hoping to get in there sometime next week when he's conducting another viewing (there's one 1-bed flat still available and one of the 2-beds has come back on sale after being under offer) ... Did I mention that I discovered that one of my friends lives two blocks away, in the same development? ... He's a big hefty bloke, which could come in handy with furniture shifting ;):p ... I feel the purchase of a Pukka Pad coming on, to plan things like items I need to buy, people I need to contact about change of address etc :D ... oooooh you lot are a bad influence :naughty: ... Also have loads of stuff I need to list on Freecycle ... anyway ... got to go ... Hugs to anybody who wants one ... catch you later ... Rzl xx

  • Morning all,

Am sneakily up here with you all whilst MIL is having brekkie downstairs. Good luck to Miss Pink Winged today - my godson gets his on Thurs.

Kiwi chick - keep going! I'm getting much better at telling people at parties that I'm a housewife instead of mumbling about career breaks etc:rolleyes: I just have to remind myself that I could still be at work......Also I find that dh has got more supportive as time has gone on - 2 years at home now - as he has realised that his life is better and we haven't gone bankrupt...thanks to all my inbuilt OS and all the tips on here.

Hugs to anyone that needs them.

We've got friends round for dinner tonight so I'm doing a " create your own chicken caesar salad meal" by putting all the bits out and people can choose what ythey want - idea from "More with Less" and HM meringues wityh fruit and creme fraiche for pud. Croutons in the oven as I type, WM on - must go and empty DW

Hi again, thanks for the Avatar answer catowen.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the Welshcakes recipe, I think I have it in one of those mini cookbooks Teatime recipes, but the one on here is tried & tested.

    Thanks Topher

    Morning all,

Well I was right - DD and DS came home last night ate all the food in the house. Then DD and boyf returned to London. DS and his mate are leaving this morning to take ds's girlfriend back to Uni to do retakes (they're at Bangor so are anticipating the arrival of Glyn from BB next term). So I am left with 4 muddy sleeping bags, three pairs of muddy boots, very muddy combat trousers and a muddy tent (which is drying in the conservatory as we speak. I think I'll be washing all week:mad:.

Oher than that will try to have a very frugal week with food as it's only me and OH till the weekend.

    Sue

Ow Snowy (hugs) You really do have big problems sleeping don't you? I found a website the other day that had some good info on sleeping, I know that you probably know most of it, but if you'd like me to post the link let me know, I'm sure I've bookmarked it somewhere.
