Morning everyone!

I can't believe it...took a sleeping tablet last night around midnight, and I have still woken up! Bah humbug!!!

It's Tuesday - it's also GCSE results day here in N.Ireland (a day or two ahead of England and Wales for some reason). Fingers crossed for Young Miss Pink-Winged who is having a brown envelope day today - I hope she does really well Pink, but however she does I am sure you're proud of her anyway.

Today will be another crazy mad day at w*** - it's our busiest time of the year. I'm doing a late as well, so won't be home until around 9.00 pm. The very thought is making my eyes droop. I should go back to bed I think.

Hope all is well for everyone in Old Style eTown today.

Bye.

You have my sympathy - I've been up since 3am, no idea why. Got a lot on at work so it won't hurt for me to go in early.

All the best to those expecting GCSE results - stepson doesn't get his till Friday.

Good morning Snowy and wigginsmum and all to follow!!

Wonder why N ireland get their results earlier? Don't know if most of the kids would rather get them today or hang on a bit longer. Probably depends how they think they've done!!:rotfl: Anyway good luck to Miss Pink-Winged, hope you get what you want/need!:D

Masses to do today starting with several loads of laundry and the kitchen, so will crack on and come back later.

    Have a good day everyone.

Crossed with you twink, have a good training day, the holidays went too quickly, I bet. Did you get the painting all finished?

    Goodmorning everybody,

Had a pretty busy day and did a bit of baking. Making this easy coconut cake with no fat in it at all. Had a piece for arv tea and it was delish. Took the dogs for a walk after lunch and the dog up the road ran out and attacked us. He bit Daisy. Poor little thing. The guy came running out apologising but I must admit I didn't take it very graciously. :p

Pink Fingers crossed for your DD's results.

Twink, Snowy & Wigginsmum Hope you aren't too tired today at w*** :D

Churchmouse Hope you get all your chores done today.

    Pop back later. Byeeeeeeeee

    Good morning all!

Best wishes to all the junior OSers awaiting results today or in the next few days
Aussielass - poor Daisy. It's very scary, isn't it when dogs attack like that with no reason. At least the guy apologised. It's worse when the owners act all indignant as if their darling doggie wouldn't do such at thing & must have been provoked, that happened to our poor dog (died several years ago) who was the daftest, least vicious dog around.
    Hi to everyone else too.

Today is the first day of Holiday Club at our church, so should be busy/fun/exhausting etc. Not sure how many children will turn up, but judging by the reactions of those we delivered invitations to yesterday there should be quite a few!
I finally have my car back, it had been in the garage being repaired for 2 weeks following the accident. So having got used to a tiny Matiz, today I will go back to my not-so-tiny Discovery. Actually I had got quite attached to the little "shoebox on wheels"! But DH was not so keen on it!

    Have a good day!

    Good Morning everyone,
There is blue sky in Dorset so that's a good start to the day.
AussieLass, hope Daisy is okay, we have a 10 month old lurcher puppy who is just fine tuning his social skills, has a real thing for springer spaniel ears when playing -he's a bit rough. We had to invest in a muzzle for boisterous situations as someone elses vets bill really doesn't sound attractive right now !

My attempts at ebaying yesterday died a death, I seemed to have been really busy yesterday but acheived nothing :( Laundry and ironing baskets and the hotspots have morphed in just 24 hours, and I'm back to where I was on Sunday morning..sigh.

    Still onward and upward.
Today I will acheive something !

  • Morning, all! :grouphug: :coffee: :EasterBun and a pile of welshcakes! Don't have a smilie for that. DH goes a broad on business for a month, soon, so my plan is to learn how to insert smilies, set up a photo acccount to insert them, and to make nice names rather than pasting the web address IYKWIM

Thanks to everyone who commented favourably on my avatar. :A It is indeed me (hence my MSE name). What do you mean about a suit, Catowen, that's my very own feathers! :rotfl: :rotfl: The Penguin has been out in public several times, and never failed to get in the papers. Paul R. Bear and I even went to a meeting in County Hall at Beverley. That certainly turned heads, and we were in the Yorkshire Post that day.

Aussie, I'm not sure about your latest hamster, either. What's it eating? :rotfl:

Pink, best of luck to Miss P-W for today. What are her plans now?

Also to Master Wiggins for Friday

Snowy, I'll be posting on FLC II later today. FLC II is still going in the Penguin household (aided by 2 small penguins) but slowly atm. Did you get to make welshcalkes, or are you full of carrot cake? I make a big batch of dough and freeze that. I then cook a small batch fresh in a morning for breakfast.

Hi, Twink! "with physical exercise" sounds ominous? Can you pass more details to put my mind at rest?

    See you later, Churchmouse

Elona, hope you're OK. Best wishes for today.

Shez, any sign of Mr Shez?

Kaz, how do you feel now? Better, I hope, after getting it all off your chest, and realsiing that you won't get judged from us. :T

Rzl, what's your next step with the flat? Very exciting!

Chipps, have a great time on your holiday club. Your feet won't touch the ground while you're doing it.

    Hi, Jo!

Have a good day, all, and (hugs) to all who need one, and those who just want one.

    Morning everyone :hello:

Just a very quick post as I need to be "up and at 'em!" today........... honest :p .

I've received an invitation to a friend's hen party in October...... I just need to make sure that I've got enough cash put aside for it.

Today I'm going down to London to see two friends. One friend lives in Australia and is in London for a couple of days before she pops up to Aberdeenshire to see her family, so I'm meeting her for lunch. Another friend, although she lives in London, I haven't spoken to properly (or seen) for a good few months so I'm meeting up with her for supper! I've made sure that I've got the cheapest fare on the train.:p :p

Anyway, have a good day everyone.
