I know I am a wooz, but please where else can you get one of those pukka pads from, I have been resisting like mad, but cannot any longer, I am quite depressed re OH and his intransigence (spelling) I need a serious cheering up......as it seems I have to downgrade the plans we had made I need a pukka pad to map out whats happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry I'll tell you all about 'The Plan' when it eventually comes to fruition.........

OH phoned the council yesterday re the application we have in for a flat, we have had to write a letter to them telling them why we turned down the flat earlier this year.........the fact that the kitchen come living room would not take the settee and a table had something to do with it........there was the most awful boiler in a cupboard in the kitchen which was part of the lounge and one of the storage places in the hall was unusable because the pipe from said boiler went up through it...... the paint work was not in an acceptable condition, we were offered £45 to repaint...........which would not have bought the paint, let alone anything else and we would not have been allowed a payment holiday whilst we re-decorated the flat either, so would have ended up paying out £600 rent on two properties.............I don't think so. I did not like the atmosphere in the place either, there was a 'smell' which suggeested unwashed male bodies if you know what I mean and it appeared that quite a lot of the flats were occupied by single men..... no other couple in residence... and I could understand why you could not both stand up in the lounge at the same time with furniture in........the windows in the lounge were huge and although double glazed I think they would have let a lot of the heat out, so not exactly economic either.........so we now wait and see what happens next. We really only want to stay in this area, and it seems that if they offer us another flat and we turn it down we will be shot of the list for 12 months and have to start again. I have also asked for forms from the council in the market town I used to live in and where my daughter lives..they have bungalows rather than flats.........

Right now I have had a good moan and got that off my chest I am really off to fly-lady the living room, laminate flooring is all very well, but suddenly you realise that its very dusty when the rolls of dust start appearing when the door is opened!!!!!

Nice morning.... sun is out, not sure how warm it is though, will be out shortly to see.

Tootles - that other place sounds horrendouse - no wonder you didn't want to take it. My skin is crawling and stomach lurching just reading about it YUCK!!!! As for Puka pads so far I've seen them in Tesco, Asda, WHsmith and staples. I think with the new term approaching the stationery stocks are quite poplular ;)

Late post as I had a meeting about the bathroom this morning with my OT and company doing it. They are commencing work on the 4th September....DD's first day at secondary:eek: ...great!!

Am a little upset today about some comments made yesterday on another thread about me sponging basically and that people are paying for my benefits in their taxes etc. A comment was made about me shopping in Waitrose..blah blah blah. Obviously this person was to cowardly to post under their normal ID and used an AE...but it hurt all the same. I shouldnt let it bother me as I know Im not well and have always worked and paid my taxes before I became ill, but it really has hurt me. I hate claiming benefits and would give everything to go back to work as I miss it soooo much. Im not cut out to be stuck at home...I HATE IT!! Im 31 and want my life back!

As you can see I feel really down today.

    Morning all:D

Woke up this morning with the startings of a migrane but it seems to be under control now, for a little while at least.

Other than that felt great reading OS and flylady has really motivated me. With the kids of and routine and housework gone the way of the dinosaurs i had just had enough. So i was up until gone 1am cleaning all of the downstairs, OH scrubbed kitchen floor and bathroom floor on hands and knees, a lovely sight:D and i also put all the clothes away and completely organised the airing cupboard:j

It felt GREAT to wake up to a relatively tidy clean home. Already this morning another wash has been hung out and another is in the machine, though worried about the weather:rolleyes:

Have completely dusted all rooms, changed bedding, aired house and dealt with a huge pile of paperwork, tidied the shelf on the kitchen dresser which gets full of all types of junk and found some vouchers:D

The boys have tided their room and daughter is just finishing hers.

Have also made a list of all that is needed for uniform shop later in the week and am now on here trying to find some recipes for the menu planner. Once menu is done i can make the shopping list.

Still have to hoover and re-make the beds, then it will be lunch time.

After lunch i shall be making up some more blackberry muffins with the blackberries we picked on sunday as they just disappeared the other day into the tummies of wondering little uns;) and the batch i made last night was part of MIL birthday gift.

Already planning a big clean when they go back to school..........can't wait...........how sad that i am getting excited about a big clean/organisation:rolleyes: .........this place is a bad influence on me;) :rotfl:

can only echo what Rzl says. The thing is, others love to judge - the problem is that they have half the facts then make up the rest to suit themselves. YOU know what is going on in your life, and as you say, you have paid your taxes down the line etc and you would love to be in a position to do so again(!) For every one of 'them' there must be at least 101 on this thread alone who will give you a hug right now! So, st*ff em!!
