Enjoy Spa! We stayed on the site a few years ago during some racing. They closed the Ladies loos overnight, but left the Mens open. Returning to the site after vsiting the local hostelries, obviously a queue formed for the cubicles. Grinning cos he didn't have to queue, a chap strode past us waiting ladies to the 'latrine' things on the wall. Well, he got there then stopped grinning as a dozen pairs of eyes watched him............. He took his hand off his zip and said " I just can't do this with you lot watching!!" then left (presumably to pee behind a shrub or something!) Hmm Girl power!!

Hope they don't do that this year. They are charging for the showers though, so hopefully this will be cleaner than they were last year if people now have to pay for them. I was really impressed with the organisation of the whole place last year.

    Morning all

Early start here with one little one for 12 hours today - I've already made the tea (shepherds pie), one load of washing is done and airing, hoovered and swished and swiped. Just waiting for the farmers market to open at 10am and we'll go spend an hour wandering around there.

Had a nice surprise in the post this morning - I'd ordered some tesco deals via their vouchers and they've duplicated the order..........so I've now got two lots of vouchers.....do you think I'll get away with using them?....I'll have a bl**dy good try!

    Have a good one all.

    23_9_10.gifOld Stylers,

Hope you are all well today and that those with loved ones expecting GSCE results today are pleasently suprised.

I did manage to get into the docs yesterday so my blood is now making its way to the Anthony Nolan Trust, fingers crossed it matches and I can help someone out.

Yesterday I started reading Moggins's Home Manual thread and think I may just be addicted. Sadly I had to leave it after a couple of pages to get to doc and was then out for the entire day, I intend reading after posting here. Looks like I will be making a manual of my own soon. hearing Anthea on her show talking about being proud to be a housewife and having a job description for it made me think again about how I have been approaching the whole thing. I have been really resentful of DH cause his life hasnt changed an awful lot in the last few years whereas I have had to give up a well paid job I loved, have 3 kids, gain 4 1/2 stone, be a stay at home mum with no wage and very little thanks. Have decided to change my ways, I want to be proud of who I am am what I do. I think I need to feel that I AM good at it, so I think a book with a list of jobs sounds just the thing to get me on track.

I spent yesterday at a friends house, she was very suprised and pleased when I turned up with a bowl of HM pumpkin and ginger soup, hm dinner rolls and a tin of hm cupcakes for the kids. She is goning to come round here one day soon to have a soup making lesson. Will be great fun.

I have a little person at my feet asking for bananas and trying to close the laptop so had best dash.

    Love and hugs to all,
    Kiwi.

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning! :hello:

Just recovering from my birthday surprise last night!
I was taken to see Patrick Swayze in Guys and Dolls! :j DD had organised it all, really great seats, it is what she does for a living, and then we went out for a really wonderful italian meal and just managed to catch the last train home.

I have been really spoilt and the big 50 really isn't that bad now I am on the other side of it! ;) Only disappointment was that Patrick wasn't wrapped up in a big ribbon like the rest of my pressies! :D

Off to catch up on the rest of the threads now as we really need to penny pinch again to make up for all this spending on fun!

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes!

    Catz x

I am going to have a go at the welsh cakes, I printed off the recipe to out in my book, its about time my griddle got some use. The aking cupboard is the next one to get my attention re clearing out.

Sausage casserole for supper tonight, now the autumn is on its way, menu planning will revert to our winter menu of stews and casseroles, toad in the hole etc.....

Hello to Kiwichick, Catznine & Tootles.

Kiwichick I know what you mean - I watch Perfect Housewife and laugh at it but it is really inspiring especially as my main problem is time management I also need to lose some weight (a stone) and Im really trying to motivate myself and its only myself who can change it iyswim. Anyway have made little changes over the last 8 months thanks mainly to this website but really want to change a lot more before Xmas. September always feels like a new start for me as well as the children and I also love the idea of the Household Planner - have made a little start using my lovely Pukka Pad:rotfl:

I think everyone on here is very motivated and inspiring but special thanks to Moggins for her Household Manual thread and the FL.
