Thanks everyone (reassuring to know that the weight should settle and in a downward path as well :D), I will still be weighing in but not putting my weight down as the Doctor said my weight could be all over the show so I won't be posting it for a few months :D

de1amo I also read the blurb for medication just so I know what to expect - I tend to get the side effects (including the rare ones :rotfl:, the type where they say "one in one million will get x" one set of tablets sent me blind for a few days! So I really do hope I get the excessive weight loss side effect [preferably NOT the hair loss though ] :D)
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

one side affect on mine says i might get fat due to switching off of the neuro system which regulates hunger --it would mean i wouldnt know at what point i have had enough--i have seen some very big people on the same drug and i tend to pig out once i start on something nice--or is that just the fault of manufacturers making things like chocolate so lovvvverly lol

seems everyone is coming to Turkey this summer--just as i make my way to the uk!--its easy to diet here if you avoid the uk style food in thr resorts--fruit and veg cost pennies and meat is lean and good quality--if you live here beer is expensive on local terms because the turkish gov are quite muslim and tax it highly--it is about the same as the uk or even more expensive never as cheap as wetherspoons!! an efes in a corner shop is 1,20 and a normal bar about 2,60. local wages for a very well paid middle manager is about a 1000 pounds a month

Yesterday went quite well - only slip up was a cheese straw thing that I made out of boredom. They only had 25g of marg in the whole batch of 10 and 1 had 2 small ones so I suppose it could have been worse!

Not doing too badly today so far but we'll see.......

Well Im totally peed off, Ive put ON a lb since 1 June. Gawd knows how. Im wondering if Ive got a bit lax on the coffee/tea front - the old milk calories can add up I spose and there was that ice cream yesterday in the glorious sunshine. Annoying though :(

That's why you're supposed to not weigh yourself every two days;). Our weight fluctuates so much, but I bet overall you will have lost weight over the whole week.

I'm no one to talk I weigh myself in the morning, before the loo, after :rotfl:th eloo, naked and then clothed and then same again in the evening

Dragon, I'm sorry to hear about your thyroid, at least you know what it is though so you can tackle it.

Still sticking to my points virtuously. Went out running last night, although wondering if that's going to become boring. Thinking seriously about British Military Fitness. Has nayone here tried it?

I'm awful for weighing myself daily, and it really does get me down to see when I gain, even if it;s only 0.5lb, leaves me thinking there's no point and reaching for the biccies!! I'd love to e able to stop weighing completely and use measurements instead, but have no idea at all how long it would take to loose an inch, so wouldn't know how often to measure. But this month I'm not weighing until halfway through the month, by then I should have definitely lost (fingers crossed) and it should stop be from being naughty!
