Dragon, I'm sorry to hear about your thyroid, at least you know what it is though so you can tackle it.
Still sticking to my points virtuously. Went out running last night, although wondering if that's going to become boring. Thinking seriously about British Military Fitness. Has nayone here tried it?
Thank you banwa
Only time I did military fitness was when I was with the military :rotfl::rotfl:

Hi all.
First proper post on this thread and first weigh-in - lost 1 pound! Trying to stick to 1400 calories a day but a bit guessie so need to buy a good calorie counting book! Are most of you cc or doing WW/SW etc -even though I've been overweight for a few years now (ahem!)I've never really stuck to a proper diet as such - just cut down & exercised a bit more - but never really lost more than half stone. My BMI is 31 which means I am obese - which was a bit of a shock as I thought i was just a bit fat!:rotfl:
Going out for birthday meal tonight & center parcs on Monday so will have to make sure I am very good the rest of the month. I hope to do loads of exercise at center parcs ..... well that's the plan anyway!
Good luck everyone

Ooh do you have a recipe, that sounds like a lovely low fat treat
Here it is - can't claim any responsibility for it (stolen from OS thread) and I can't cook but they still turned out ok!
Remember there is cheese in them too but only 80g in the whole lot and you can use reduced fat cheese. Yummy if you like savoury things.
Cheesy Biscuits
50g SR flour
25g butter/marge
80g grated mature cheddar ( I sometimes use half this amount of cheese and they're still yummy or reduced fat cheese )
splash of milk
Mix all ingredients together and knead a little until you have a ball
Roll out to about 2 1/2mm and cut into shapes
Bake at 200c/Gas6 for about 8-10 minutes until they start to colour.
The original recipe said to add 20g Parmesan and a pinch cayenne pepper too but they’re just as yummy without. You could use an egg yolk instead of the milk to bind
On the slimming front, yesterday was ok - no big slip ups. Had a bagel and spread for lunch, raspberries and grapes as a snack, and pasta in sauce (free on a green day for those doing SW)for tea - one digestive biscuit to stop me going bonkers! Plenty of diet coke and low cal squash too. Exercise consisted of walking the dog 3 times but nothing to get me out of puff!
Today will hopefully follow the above.
I don't know whether I'm kidding myself but I feel a bit less bloated and a bit flatter IYKWIM.
Will weigh tomorrow - only started on Monday but I want my weigh in day to be a Saturday. 5 weeks to hols:eek::eek:0 -
Hi All,
Need a bit of advice! Ive been using my sisters super dooper scales to get weighed on since I started my weight loss thing 2 weeks ago.
Shes decided to move in with her partner and will be taking her scales with herI tried my old digital scales this morning and they said I weighed 11st 4 when I tried hers this morning they said I weighed 71.2kgs (11st 3lbs! i know i know a slight weight gain from last week lol) so there is a slight difference!
Dont know whether to just use mine and think of it as an adjustment for this week rather than a gain as such, or whether to search the shops for another one?! any thoughts would be great thanks
(BTW just had a lovely weight watchers soup for me dinner, mexican spicy bean!! I dont do bits in soup but this was really yummy and only 107 calories for a really filling dinner) x0 -
Hi, just wondering if I can join in with this?
A few days late but feeling very enthusiastic at the moment! I ordered some digital weighing scales (arriving tomorrow) so I don't know what my start weight is until then although not sure I will be able to share that information
I would like to try and lost 10lb in June though if I can!
I am not on any particular diet at the moment although I have the SW books and might do the extra easy once i've been shopping for supplies!
At the moment I am just going to have porridge (with varying fruit in) for breakfast and lunch and then eat a proper dinner when I get home, but with more veg than usual.
Hope I am OK to join! :AProud meowmy of four fuzzy cats0 -
i have concluded no matter how hard i work and restrictive my diet i can only lose 2lbs max a week- 1 is sufficient i know but i work out so hard and keep control of my calories with counting --the biggest loss i have encountered though is eating my calories early in the day- it seems to equal all the hard work-just reducing as normal my intake -i have taken to having my main meal at lunch time and tapering off towards the evening with a complete stop by 7.30--i am very close to my target and its getting sticky plus i fluctuate considerably because fluid intake is high on gym days and sufficient on others--i try to resist random weigh ins because i also get fed up when i gain or dont lose---i have the blues today because i over ate at lunch time and told myself i was going to the gym and now i am lacking in energy and motivation!mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0

I better have lost some inches/weight when i take me measurements, had cous cous and crab sticks for dinner today instead of a nice big cheese sandwich i really wanted! lol0
