I looked up at the summit of Skiddaw a few years back and that took 4000 calories off me. Had to rush off and get a cream tea.

hehehe! That's usually my style, but I was misinformed by my DH that it isn't as bad as it looks!! (that said there were blokes RUNNING up:eek:) It was a boiling hot day, and I drank all of the water about a third of the way up. When we got back into Keswick I ran into the swimming baths and practically knocked people over to get to the drinks machine, and promptly downed a 500ml bottle of coke, followed by water. I must have looked like a right nutter, crazed look on my face, drenched in sweat....:rotfl:
someone i know is safe and snug and they're drifting off to sleep. round and round a little boat, no bigger than your hand, out on the ocean far away from land, take the little sail down. light the little light. this is the way to the garden in the night...

I did striding edge on Helvellyn about 2 years ago. Never again! I needed several cream teas.

well done! I was sold on Skiddaw because I was told it is the "easy" one. I reckon you have to be practically superhuman to do striding edge.:D

Well done everyone on your losses. Had my weigh in at SW yesterday and lost 1/2lb. Was a bit disappointed tbh because I had been so good but I am hoping it all shows up next week instead!

6 1/2 lb to go! xxx

can people tell me what their bmi target is so i can get an idea what is reasonable-i am currently 23.6 and everyone i meet that hasnt seen me for a while keeps showing concern for my health!!--even my wife says i am too thin and the gym muscle men instructors are saying i am crazy dieting because i am too thin and need some muscle!

I'm not going by BMI, it depresses me. According to those charty things, to be in my healthy BMI range/ideal weight I need to be 8 stone 7 and quite frankly I don't want to be that thin.

I had a week off last week so this is my first weigh in for June and I've lost 2 1/2lbs and am finally in the 11 stones, woop!
