Just to Presthaven Sands, it's only about 40 minutes away from us, lo's first holiday though & my first little gettaway for years, I'm really quite excited :rotfl: Self catering, so I'm thinking we will be eating out most of the time. . . Not good for weight loss!
Last night I got myself organised and planned what I'm going to eat today, let's see of I stick to it now! I've also got my first visit to the gym at 6:30 tonight :eek:0 -
I dont go by the BMI scale really, I use it just as a guide. IF I were to be in the middle of the weights they give for me Id look anorexic. I know that because I was that weight 5 years ago and I did look awful. I think you know yourself when you are at a good weight for your height and build (and it aint when people look worried when they see you
)
Last time i was my goal weight my sisters thought i looked awful, that was 2003 but after a crash diet.
Before that i was at the goal weight on my first wedding day back in 1994 and i looked good in the fotos but as you can tell by the mathes it was 16 years ago and i was a fresh faced 31 year old--my excess 4 kgs now is around my mid-drift as beffitting any middle aged man!--the goal just happens to be precisely the amount my dietician set me at the beginning of the task-so the figures are conspiring against me! İ dont have any idea how i look to others or in the mirror because i get use to the changes as i go along-some people are shocked when they havent seen me in a while but i have a friend i see very ocassionally and i think he looks dreadful after a massive weight loss due to lots of exercise and living on zero coke so i know what you mean!
sorry to hear your problems Dragon but thanks for continuing to support us--i hope you soon get back to normal.mfw'11 No68- 55k mortgage İO--little to nothing saved! i must do better.0 -
Good luck with your treatment Dragon and thank you for running the thread!0

Oh Dragon...I'm sorry. are you able to go on to medication immeadiately? My thyroid started changing last year.
I can't take meds yet, partly because of my other problems and while the changes to my thyroid itself are to small they don't think its worth it. My maternal family all have nderactive thyroids and I'm frustrated: the benefits gained by those who had early treatment are significant over those who had later/normal time intervention in UK.

Yep to the tablets - started them last night and having read the blurb (as you always should) one of the potential side effects is excessive weight loss(please, please, oh PLEASE! I normally get severe weight gain on any tablets so this would be a great bonus :rotfl:)

Good luck with the medication Dragon, and thank you for carrying on the thread even though you don't intend to WI. My SIL has an underactive thyroid and looks amazing, if that's any consolation! xx0
