Just weighed in this morning to check my starting weight and it seems to be sticking has been for the past few weeks and its driving me mad. I've lost almost 2 stone since Christmas and it was coming off at 1 or 2lbs per week but the past few weeks it seems to go up 1 then down 1 then stick, any ideas on how to kickstart it again???????

where are you going to Rachel? i spend most of my life in Turkey. i dont know many seaside resorts-just bodrum and the place i have a holiday home in--i live in the 3rd city of the country--near kusadasi but never been there!

We're going to Olu Deniz (sp?) on a typical beach holiday - can't wait!

I've weighed this morning and I'm 10st 11lbs:eek::eek: That means that I've put on about half a stone in the past 6 months - not good!

I'm going to calorie count and today is day 1 - need to get this under control before it gets silly!
  • Can I give it a try? I joined WW Online yesterday then promptly went and ate about three times my allocated points! I'd like to lose 7lbs (although I need to lose about 60lbs to get to a healthy BMI) - do I need to put my start weight?
    Start Date: 27/11/2010
    Padding: Day 42
    Target £8000
    Amount: £562.23

which airport are you flying to? i am in İzmir on the Aegean coast near ephesus --its warm and sunny here at the moment and they are saying it will reach record highs later in the summer--the last hot summer i experienced here was 2007 and i was well wrapped in fat! its about 33 in the days now but doesnt feel warm to me--it was 45 the day i got married in august 2007 and of course i had to wear a formal suit--i looked like a big michelin man in my wedding shots-i was 11kgs/23lbs than i am now so well coated in blubber!

I would like to join again. Hoping to lose 4lbs which i've not done since feb. I'm gradually getting there still (about 1lb off this month) and improving my eating/exercise habits in general which is good so im trying to be happy with that rather than annoyed the numbers not going down fast enough. Not always managing though!
Clothes are a bit frustrating atm as a lot of stuff i have is a bit baggy but i don't want to buy new stuff that might not fit well when i'm done losing weight.

i saw someone say about their goal bmi-i have been set to get to the middle of the normal range but feel this is a tough goal considering i am 47--i havent been that light since i was 31--what are people's realistic goals on the bmi scale???(my current bmi is 24.1)

i dont know why but since taking my weight first thing i have lost a kilo --so log me as 73kgs not 74kgs--generally i take my weight at lunch time because that was the first time i weighed in with the dietician--they set the appointments at that time because it allows a long time for breakfast to be digested and they get an accurate bmr---maybe we dont weigh lightest before breakfast--i find i need two dashes to the loo before lunch!!--i am eating 150pc the normal fiber at the moment--anyone know the dangers of doing that??

Good to see you missy dee, Rotherham Lass, Intergalactic Floozie and Marzipan Fish!

Intergalactic Floozie - you only need to give your starting weight if you want to - some people find it focuses them having it in black and white (so to speak!), others just want to have the losses recorded - entirely up to you :D
