Why not be brazen and ring them back from your desk!!!!!
Okay, maybe not from your desk, but if they are ringing you just hours after you submitted your application then maybe they want to move fast - i would ring them as soon as you can!
Good luck!
Ring them now!

I tried to get out of the office to call them and my manager just made some sarcastic comment that I keep leaving the office (even though he asked me to go this morning to get milk)
Anyways, the recruitment person has emailed me and I have a telephone interview tomorrow on my lunch break.
So very impatient and excited as I've been wanting to work for this company since I've been at this job and this is the first vacancy that suits my skills!:j *~* 2011 - TRY TO GET CREDIT CARD AS LOW AS POSS BUT STILL HAVE FUN *~* :j0 -

Leave the office 5 minutes before the phone interview tomorrow. Go somewhere quiet away from the building. DO NOT let someone give you a task to complete so you miss this. The best of luck.0 -
They are! The management are not professional and really feel like I am wasting my skills and my pride by working here! This company I have the interview for had nice big offices, modern looking and with parking! Much nicer than a basic office round the back of the high street with my car parked down a road miles away!
I go for walks on my lunch break to get away so perfect to walk along while being interviewed. There is no way in hell I am missing this call!
Now all I have to do is be patient and wait for 12pm tomorrow...:j *~* 2011 - TRY TO GET CREDIT CARD AS LOW AS POSS BUT STILL HAVE FUN *~* :j0 -
Good luck for tomorrow! Use the time to do your research and bone up on interview questions and answers! Hope it goes well for you!0

And for when you come back to your desk - LET US KNOW HOW IT WENT!0

Good luck, it can always be a problem for people if they are too scared, its true though you have got to think of the worst that could happen and this will hopefully give you the courage to bite the bullet. Fingers Crossed!0

Dont think it went too well TBH...
She asked questions as to why I havent been in my jobs that long and keep changing but the job sounds more or less exactly what I do now so I'm hoping I get through on that account...
So another game of wait and see for now.
Work have annoyed me lots today, they keep making rude and unprofessional comments and I've just had enough so my fingers are very tightly crossed even though I'm not holding out much hope:j *~* 2011 - TRY TO GET CREDIT CARD AS LOW AS POSS BUT STILL HAVE FUN *~* :j0 -

Hang in there.
Keep professional at work: don't rise to the stupid comments, as long as they're not too bad.. You might need to stay there for a while yet, so don't burn yer bridges
Don't just forget about the pay rise either: sounds like they're trying to!
Meanwhile, be patient and hopeful about your interview. If it doesn't go as hoped, it's not the end of the world. You'll just have to think of something else.
Good luck0
